And England Says 'Goodbye And Good Riddance'...

Today it can be revealed that Mr and Mrs Darr and their three children are emigrating to the United Arab Emirates later this month. The family have chosen to move from their home in Cambridge to Sharjah, where alcohol is banned and there are the strictest decency laws in the emirates.
Excellent news! I mean, it's a shame for the economy, of course, as the progressive press keeps telling us but...

Oh. Wait:
The move comes after Mr Darr’s recruitment firm was closed down in June when he was found to be working as a company director illegally. Following an investigation by the Insolvency Service, he was banned from holding company directorships after he was caught pocketing over £500,000 owed in tax in 2008.
 Whoops!
The nine-year ban was imposed in February 2011 but in May this year he was found to be operating a similar company named Interecruit (GB), which supplied agricultural workers. As well as working as a director when disqualified, Mr Darr was not paying staff the minimum wage and failing to provide holiday pay. He had his gangmaster’s licence revoked by the licensing authority.
I wonder what the penalties are for breaking the laws in the UAE? He might find out if he keeps this up...

And handing back their British Passports?

I have a feeling we'll be seeing them again.

Definitely time we introduced elements of shariah law (for believers only in a nod to their values and sensibilities, of course) : the thief needs a double amputation of his hands (on the NHS before midStaffordshire closes down its less compassionate services). And make sure that the backtax is paid before he goes.

Presumably HMRC have recovered all tax plus interest owed, before he's allowed to emigrate?

He will be a good boy in UAE. Not enough kafirs to steal from.

Great idea. You should put that on one of those mobile billboard vans and drive it around Tower Hamlets... Ooooh, no. Wait...
