Goodbye To The ‘Thinking Skills Programme’..?

After considering a pre-sentence report, the magistrates imposed a 12-month community order on Danvers with a Safer Drinking Choices programme. He was told to pay £307 in compensation to Tesco, £85 in costs and a £60 victim surcharge.
The mind just boggles at what that might entail...

It means he'll get tea, biscuits and an in one ear and out the other responsibility in the community lecture. All at taxpayers expense.

Danvers went into the store with an empty trolley just before 4pm and left 1 minute and 20 seconds later with the inflatables, which were in boxes, and the barbecue...

Wow! Those check-out girls are so quick... Oh, right!

... he had a grudge against the store because he had lost his job after breaking his arm when he slipped in a puddle there. His bid to sue the company had failed.

There's just got to be a good story here. Although I suspect his less than sure footing might be connected with this...
