The man, who was being held by police last night, had been convicted of causing death by dangerous driving and was supposed to return to prison after apparently breaching parole conditions. Not that I'd be crying in my mulled wine if you did finally give iDave the excuse he needs to give you the push, mind...
I can well understand how this has invigorated the police in their calls to be routinely armed, or for changes in policy such as the routine handcuffing of all stop and searches, but it's to the justice system that we need to look - why was this man given parole in the first place? Why, when a breach of his parole conditions came to light, was he not immediately arrested, assuming his whereabouts were known?
But then, judges, solicitors and probation officers don't get stabbed almost to death on the streets, do they?

Agree 100% ..
Clarke is a complete twat .. and should be got rid of ASAP ..
Clarke is a menace to society, I can't believe he was garnted parole after all his previous offences against the laws of common sense and decency.
I suppose being a fellow EUSSR supporter means Dave gives him a free pass.
I reckon that said offender (sorry, person who did something) will tick all the boxes....

Well, now the name's been released, and turns out not to be a collection of letters you'd like to draw out of the bag in 'Scrabble', is anyone surprised?
Certainly not me...
