All We Have To Lose Are Our Chains!

Wall Street Banks, American corporations and their political allies have declared a one-sided war on the American people.
Says who?

Says Frances Fox Piven and Cornel West, two barking-insane wealthy communists:
This war is being waged at our schools and colleges, on public employee unions, in our workplaces and in our communities.
Not, you’ll note, on our taxpayers. Because we all know who it is that’s waging a war on them
"Austerity" policies falsely suggest that spending on social needs is the reason why governments – at all levels – are facing massive budget short falls. No! Our debt and deficit problems are a direct result of corporate tax breaks and extortionist bank practices that have lead to a scandalous and unprecedented transfer of wealth – from hardworking Americans to the richest segments of US society.
Of course they are…
The courageous actions by the citizens in Wisconsin are an inspiring defence of the core values of this country: a civil society based on freedom of association, healthy and stable communities that value public services and the public good.
…and everyone else looking for someone to pay for it. Wisconsin being the state where the opposition politicians fled to a neighbouring state to avoid being outvoted. Very courageous.
We are on the cusp of a great movement to resist and roll back the corporate domination by banks, energy companies and war profiteers.
*yawn* I think not.

Communists, Marxists, socialists, they are all just one final push way from revolution, aren't they? And yet it never comes.

Thank God.

Socialism and communism are like the definition of insanity, they keep trying the damned thing and expect a different result other than massive state overspending and tyranny.

The revolution that never comes? Well, they want it for us of course.

But not for themselves. Somehow, the wealthy and lazy sozialists will be spared from the necessary mayhem in order to continue their intellectual pursuit of doing as little useful as possible.

Are these two even actual Americans? I'm pretty sure that 'valuing public services' has never been an American core belief or anything.

Not that I will defned the UK leftists agenda, but the US is a different case.

The extent that the US poluitical system has been hijacked by the lobbyists and the moneyed means that right now the middle class in America is getting stuffed...

You do also need to look at the pork barrel spending on defense.. each F35 costs $350 million...

I have to disagree with Anonymous. As far as I can see we are in just as bad a position as our cousins with respect to the hi-jacking of power by a self-appointed eilte.

In some ways, things are even worse here as we have no Tea Party, nor any prospect of of one.

That's because they sincerely believe everyone else was doing it wrong. And they have the answer.

"Well, they want it for us of course.

Of course!

"Are these two even actual Americans?"

I hope so! We've got enough of our own!

"...right now the middle class in America is getting stuffed..."

Same here, as Uncle Badger points out! It's just that our lobbying is done far less publicly. More of the 'old boys network' to it.
