They Do Things Differently In France…

Patrick Vélain of the civil service union said officials were growing tired of being pelted with eggs and abused by furious taxpayers.
Oooh, can you imagine that over here? I can’t!
Brittany has often been a focus of unrest and was the scene of serious clashes with police during demonstrations against a planned pollution tax last year.
Over here, we just grumble and pay up.

France really is a different country, non?

And it's not just eggs they dump on us...

Well their roads are brilliant, and I rather like Brittany. They also have a bloody big sign telling you where the local Mayor lives, or at least hangs out between long lunches, so you you can get down and personal...

Very true!

"They also have a bloody big sign telling you where the local Mayor lives, or at least hangs out between long lunches, so you you can get down and personal..."

Yes, but then, 'mayor' is a position with actual power too...
