Another Poor 'Victim'..?

Police investigating an allegation of a sex attack by a 14-year-old girl have said the teenager made the story up.
Well, at least this one hadn't managed to get anyone arrested for it! And being 14, I suppose we can expect little or even no punishment?

Well, amazingly enough...
The teenager has been referred to a "safeguarding unit" for support.
Sounds to me as if we need 'safeguarding' from her...

The usual old flannel gets wheeled out, of course:
Det Ch Insp Simon Atkinson said: "We will always thoroughly and proactively investigate any serious sexual assault reported to us and provide ongoing support to the victim.

"However, in this particular case, we have discovered a false allegation has been made and the appropriate referrals have been put in place in order to support this girl."
Because, of course, she's the victim here...

Woman are very fickle and 'natural' liars. Wouldn't you agree, Julia?

@ anon

True enough. JuliaM and the subject girl do share common attributes but this blogger has a much higher opinion of herself.

Julia's manipulations and inconsistencies are as prominent as glaring faults and contradictions in corrupt police evidence.

Vile police commenters, encouraged by Julia to insult decent citizens here, have each other for company once men of honour abandon the vessel to fermentation.

Goodbye and may the force be ever in your side, JuliaM.

Oh no you have upset MTG.Oh dear never mind.
The trouble with lefties is that they believe in free speech,as long you agree with them.If you have a different opinion then you are something "ist" eg racist, sexist etc.
Goodbye MTG,see you on the other blogs you are still allowed to post on.
Vile Jaded.
Ha ha ha.........

Blimey! What have I missed? Honestly, you don't read a blog for a day or two and it all goes pear-shaped!

Back in the real world-these made up rape stories are quite worrying especially if you are on the wrong side of them.
There doesn't seem to be a consistent approach by us to false allegations. In my experience there are very few "proper" rapes. It's not often I agree with Ken Clarke but he was right o.n this subject
The classic rape is someone jumping out of a bush in the middle of the night with a knife. That should be treated extremely seriously.
The "lesser" type is Waynetta not letting Wayne shag her as he's not bought her a kebab that night, and he does it anyway.
Perhaps we should use the American system of Rape 1 and Rape 2 for seriousness.
The whole issue has been hijacked by "wimmin" with hairy legs who think all men are rapists as they have a willy.

Not sure what MTG is trying to say...

Anon 1 obviously has tongue stuck firmly in cheek; Anon 2 appears to be stirring things a bit.

Surely the only care shown this girl ought to be in making her aware of the full implications for everyone involved with her false claim?

As a victim, she is only the victim of her own foolishness.

What Jaded and RSP said. It is the courts and justice system that let us all down.

While I'm wary about agreeing with the jaded one on anything, I do think we need to reintroduce a more biblical way of dealing with rape.

ie inorder to claim 'rape' a woman (or man) must show RESISTANCE, that they resisted the attack-according to their possibilities. Obviously a roofied slapper can't fight back.

If resistance can't be shown then a lesser offence of 'sexual assault' should be brought.

It's hard for a man to claim 'consent' if half his face is under her finger nails.

Sure it would be an imperfect system, all human justice is. But it would have major advantages-not just for innocent men but for rape victims themselves.

I've had quite a bit of experience with rape victims and one thing always stands out. It isn't the act itself that is 'a fate worse than death' but the GUILT...or feelings of guilt.

A woman who knows she resisted to the best of her abilities won't blame herself for wearing a mini skirt and tight top.

Oh but "the women will fear being killed if they resist" I hear some Femnazi cry?

Tough. Sorry love but its tough luck...a false rape claim can and does ruin men's lives...does end men's lives so your ante needs to be the same. Only fair way.

At 14, kids simply are not mature and given that lying in general is tolerated nowadays and almost everything is forgiven, it's no surprise she figured it was an easy way out of trouble, especially if she's been brainwashed by feminists to see men as an inferior subhuman species.

To the first two posters: learn how to write a good flame, instead of piteously mewing like a wet cat.

No.

But I would agree that the justice system is biased beyond belief in the reporting and prosecution of such matters, and that is not good for our society.

"Goodbye and may the force be ever in your side, JuliaM."

*shrugs*

*waves goodbye*

"If you have a different opinion then you are something "ist" eg racist, sexist etc."

Spot on!

"Perhaps we should use the American system of Rape 1 and Rape 2 for seriousness."

Yes, I think I'd go along with that. We import everything else from the States, after all!

Me neither.

"It is the courts and justice system that let us all down."

Spot on! Small hope that we'll see significant reform, though, with Clarke in charge.

"Oh but "the women will fear being killed if they resist" I hear some Femnazi cry?

Tough."

Indeed! It's past time their influence ceased to be effective.

"... given that lying in general is tolerated nowadays and almost everything is forgiven, it's no surprise she figured it was an easy way out of trouble..."

Yes, true. But because society (and particularly the in which she no doubt lives) has debased itself is no reason for the justice system top follow suit.

Not always true. One young lady of my former acquaintence demanded bruising physical performances on a regular basis.

And being 14, I suppose we can expect little or even no punishment?

Being 14 and in Leeds and claiming to have been approached by a middle-aged man may have several explanations. In the first instance, for public safety, the police assume the story is as told and put out a public warning.

Later, it transpires the public have nothing to worry about and so the police say so, categorically.

That leaves the complainant. With luck, the police won't have waded in to arrest and/or taser someone on the off-chance they have a tactical nuclear device about their person.

This puts us in the wasting police time category rather than perverting the course of justice.

Now, why have they wasted police time? Pure hysterics? Mental problem? Being abused by someone else but making false accusations as a prelude to getting around to naming the actual person? (The problem being that this automatically discredits later testimony).

Or, being as it is Leeds, does the complaint have to explain an absence and perhaps have a issue in their home life?

It is one for the social workers at that point, possibly a caution to create a record so that if accusations turn up later the police might be forewarned that testimony must be examined with extra care, especially if the word 'Satanic' turns up.

There is little point in further prosecution. Even if a case was brought in, all it would do is create the public perception that any minor who is a victim of abuse can expect to be put on pre-trial - something which would have the kiddie-fiddling club cheering as they've always said the little slut was begging for it, aye.

In specific cases - you know which cities - you could end up investigating a chopped-up-in-suitcases murder.

On balance this is a case of "Well done, Leeds police, proportionate and effective response, reassures the public, contains the nuisance, puts a complainant who may have other ishooos in touch with someone who can help. Best thing all round under the circs."

Show how, precisely ? I'm certainly no feminazi and but turning the justice system into a legalised dog-baiting ring with the victim only winning the chance of a prosecution and "justice" proportionate to the amount of damage they can inflict in a fight they never invited is not the way to go here.

Properly prosecuting false-rape claims is what should be done not degrading real victims yet further.
