Much As I Hate To Agree With Keith Vaz...

..he's got a point:
Keith Vaz, chairman of the Commons Home Affairs Select committee, said: ‘I am deeply shocked by these disclosures.
This individual must be removed from their post immediately. Public money should never be given to anyone who refers to violence, sex, drunkenness and other anti-social behaviour in this offensive manner. The Government must now reconsider its point blank refusal to publish a national list of all the appointments made by Crime Commissioners – as requested by my committee.
‘The public has a right to know who they are, how they were appointed and their full backgrounds. That is the best way to stop irresponsible and unsuitable people being taken on.’
At a time when real police Tweeters live in fear of professional standards or are forced to churn out nothing but anodyne crime safety information, this is an insult.

Sounds like a fairly typical 17 year old chav to me (she is from Sheerness after all!).If an adult is stupid enough to think that any tweets or emails won't come back and bite them then what chance did this girl have?
Only now is the penny dropping about what a stupid idea PCCs are.Wait until one of them gets arrested and tries to use their position, law of averages says it's bound to happen.

To be honest, you get what you ask for.

You hire a kid to do a job, you get a kid that does that job.

Motto of this story is...

Don't hire a kid to do your job for you.

Forgot to say, just been reading Stewart Lee's piece today.

That guy is a total genius.

I laughed 'til I cried.

Brilliant.

This outing of unsuitable people for positions like the one mentioned will be the first of countless thousands in every job in every workplace, this will replace interviews and references twitter/facebook/blogger posts will be searched first, and so it should be too.

The days of anything goes on social media because it soon drops of the front page and is forgotten is naive and a fools paradise. If potential candidates pretend they are not on social media this will make them appear like dinosaurs and out of touch.

social media self censoring/self regulation will be the norm and will not require any government interference.

Santa Maria, you know you're in the brown stuff when Vazeline has the high moral ground.

The name 'Paris' wasn't enough of a clue for Ann Barnes ? Really ????

If this person had tweeted 'kill the kuffar ' would action have been taken? Probably not,

Keith Vaz, a legend in his own mind. Sails with whatever ship suits his career needs.

16/17 year old says rum things is hardly surprising. That Vaz is using this as one of his flag-waving exercises is also depressingly predictable.

The person who should be out on the path but won't be, is Anne Barnes who shouldn't have appointed anybody. All the necessary opinions from 17 year olds can be gathered by the existing communications team, and this will give Barnes a much better idea of the spectrum of opinion should she need it.

This already happens.

I once worked for a big shed retailer who used the services of another company to 'research' the applicant's past which including their online footprints. They are not the only ones to do this and I'll wager ALL blue chip companies employ these methods now.

Sadly, as is often the case, the public sector is massively behind the times.

I don't know Keith Vaz, but it seems to me that he works very hard for people.

I may be wrong in his intentions, but surely we would see the bloke in the news a lot more if he was out for himself?

Keith Vaz said,

Oh the irony. Before he speaks about the youth of today, he might want to take a close look at what some of his own colleagues get up to.

Put yourself in the place of a dimwit - Ann Barnes for example.

'Paris' sounds dead posh.

Keith Vaz does in fact work very hard for people-as long as those people are A) Him or B) a similar hue. Everyone else can go swivel.

I'm sure the biggest threat to tweeters is the sheer number of moronic mind numbing tweets made each and every day sometimes over an 18 hour period that gets attached to their names, 18 hours of pure bollocks tells you a lot about a person.

serial tweeter addicts or texters are not productive and some extreme cases i have seen virtually un-employable.

Tweeters tweeting race hate or such like should be avoided as much as serial tweeters getting all moronic about brussel sprouts or sticky tape reels being buggers to unwind, employers want neither and that's a fact.

Those investigating new applicants use their C.V to dig out the real evidence behind the name, and tweeters hand it to them gift wrapped.

@jaded.

I don't believe he is out for himself. If he was, he would no doubt be in prison by now. Sure, everyone likes to be acknowledged and earn a few bob here and there. Why not?

On the other side of the coin, the devil child Osborne has said how "angry" he is about how much cash has gone on benefits. I could spend all day lecturing about immigrants, wasters and genuine claims. Also the 'anger' on the amount spent on greedy ministers, so I won't bother.

What I will say is : Mr Osborne, you are not in position to declare your feelings. You are in position to do right by the public and the future of Great Britain. Your feelings are irrelevant.

You know as well as I do that you are making decisions for your own greed along with your cronies. What I fail to understand is why you think you can get away with it.

Instead of using Philpott as an example, use the real needy. Or instead expose the greedy bastards in goverment. No? Thought not.

You can stick your 'anger' and your views in a fashionable manner up your tory jacksie. You are nothing but a vulture preying on the weak and vulnerable to create a future of hardship and disaster for the less financially well off.

You will never get what you want.

I promise.

Melvin once again you ally yourself with nutters. Get Rehill on here for a triangle of idiocy.
Thanks for the advice anyway,I promise to change my ways immediately.
Feral,in one of your lucid moments (getting rarer) look up Keith Vaz.Use search words like "passport" and "expenses".

And acts like it, right down to the extravagant display of public 'remorse'.

" If potential candidates pretend they are not on social media this will make them appear like dinosaurs and out of touch."

I sense a new 'victim class' coming!

"The name 'Paris' wasn't enough of a clue for Ann Barnes ? Really ????"

Spot on!

"The person who should be out on the path but won't be, is Anne Barnes..."

The PCCs have been a mostly depressing crop.

"I don't know Keith Vaz, but it seems to me that he works very hard for people."

If 'people' is narrowly defined as 'Keith Vaz', yes.

Very few politicians work for anyone other than:
Themselves
Those who enrich them.

I'm actually going to defend this one. There's no point trying to appoint a kid who is meant to be as representative as possible of modern teenager's views and then complaining when that's exactly what you get.

And regardless of how bad she actually is, it beggars belief that Keith Vaz tries once again attempts to take the high ground. At least she's not a lying, manipulative, cheating shit eh Keith?
