'Telegraph' Staff Still Clueless...

Seals have pups. Whales and dolphins have calves...

Furthermore, the "whale" is a killer whale, or orca, which is in fact part of the dolphin family, I believe.

It certainly is. So the 'Telegiraffe' missed a 'OMG! Cannibalism!' angle too...

I guess it's pretty much endemic. I rang our local press this morning to point out that both their editions have a spelling mistake in the classified section:

"Office Equipment And Stationary" - Well I suppose that desks and filing cabinets don't move around very much....

The receptionist I spoke to said " Oh dear, it's because they don't employ proof readers any more" I said that 30 years ago the bloke sitting at the linotype machine would have spotted such a basic error.

I recently found an old copy of the same newspaper in the roof. It was educational to read through it, and note the complete absence of stupid mistakes like this....
