The farm's owner, Toby Kent, said he had been forced to foot the bill for the loss of livestock which had also included ducks and geese.
He said: "We did not get any damage costs or anything like that; they said we would have to do a private prosecution so I decided to swallow it and just carry on. "At least I know he got the six months.
"I just sort of said that is about the best I could have hoped for. We replaced them [the livestock] fairly promptly and hopefully that won't happen again."No wonder the government wants to keep their lips tightly zipped about the anticipated figures for expanded Eastern European immigration, eh?
