‘…a mild, well-capsulated medical condition…’

Spicer is unrepentant and claims his behaviour was down to a medical condition.

He said: 'I have never been accused of being a paedophile, but it is obvious that people might wonder.

'I was examined by seven experts in the field of child-sex offences and six out of seven concluded that I'm not a paedophile.

'They concluded that I was suffering from a mild, well-capsulated medical condition, exacerbated by domestic problems.'
Well, that’s a rather original excuse..! You’d think a bunch of doctors wouldn’t fall for it, though…
Child safety groups and even Spicer's wife yesterday condemned the GMC's decision not to strike him off the medical register.
Revolting though his tastes in literature may be, he hasn’t actually broken the law.

Though I’m sure there’s someone in one of the various ministries or departments working on it as I type…

"Mild" is quickly becoming the adjective to use in the criminal justice system; only the other day we had that bloke who Cherie Blair let off because he genuinely believed in a brown sky pixie and it was only a "mild" fracture of the jaw.

I doubt that he's going to have too many patients.

I suppose someone's private unenacted sexual fantasies shouldn't be made public but once it is, it's hard not to act on it.

Would you like this 'man' to examine you, or your children?

Down the salt mines, the best place for these sort.

That's like being 'a little bit pregnant', isn't it? I mean, it's either broken or it isn't!

"I doubt that he's going to have too many patients."

Not now, certainly!

"Would you like this 'man' to examine you, or your children?"

Nope, not in the least. But there are people who genuinely wouldn't care one way or the other. Why not let them decide?
