You won't see me coming....
A family of four living in a damp-ridden house were told by council officials to open their windows to solve the problem - in the middle of winter.
And perfectly correct advice it is.I'll bet that it is a 'modern' house with no chimneys (or, if it has chimneys, they've been blocked up).May even have double glazing, which although reduces heat loss, it also further restricts ventilation.
Reminds me of a letter I saw many years ago to residents of damp houses in the town I was living in ( Labour). The dampness was because the residents breathed too much. I do not lie. I saw the letter.
Jennifer McDade, ... says the conditions in her home mean her children are often ill resulting in them missing school.Or to put it another way, the house makes her children ill so she keeps them in it for longer. Hmmm.
