Quote Of The Month

From DumbJon, on the strange priorities of the English justice system:
As it is, it now appears you can take part in a brutal rape and get exactly the same sentence Jeffrey Archer got for perjury.

But...Julia...don't you understand? Jeffrey Archer was a Tory

The reason Archer got such a high sentence was that he committed a crime against a court, these scumbags only defiled a woman. There's no comparison in the eyes of the ruling classes.
In theory everyone who pleads not guilty but is found guilty must have also committed perjury.Perhaps they should get four years extra as well?

What were known as Public Justice offences are very serious because they undermine the rule of law, or what is left of the rules.
However, that is not to say that the attack on the woman was any less serious.
If the offenders are Muslim and and the victim is a white chav female, the judicial system misguidedly tries to off balance the findings of The Lawrence enquiry by handing out a light sentence.
I am not sure Feminists are not protesting in the streets over this, - unless white chav females, who are not part of the liberal elite don't count.

Back when we had real Tories.

"There's no comparison in the eyes of the ruling classes."

No, indeed...

Spot on!
