Don't You Find It Weird...

...that the people who always rush to declare that the Koran's instructions on gays and infidels have absolutely no bearing whatsoever on the actions of Muslim terrorists are also the same people who are absolutely convinced that a politician's words on immigration are what definitely drove someone to mass murder?

I do.

It's ridiculous to say that a person's views on immigration caused another to commit mass murder. The only person to blame is the one who did the killing.
Although something needs to be done about immigration, killing is not the answer.
I need to read the Koran to understand why it can be interpreted to cause hate. However, any book teaching prejudice is likely to go in the bin.

The Koran, like many other holy books contains incitement to violence. You don't need to interpret it, it is there in black and white. Good luck trying to read it, it is boring beyond belief, tedious and repetitive.

Stoneyground: I'm not a christian, but to be fair the New Testament has little to no incitement to violence. Jesus might have thrown the money lenders out of the temple but he didn't behead them, take their wives as slaves and rape their daughters.

Thanks for the heads up Stonyground. I will read it, digest it, then find the nearest fireplace.

The Old Testament is almost all violent and makes it clear that it OK to slaughter an entire race of people and steal their country. Also St. Paul was a pretty nasty piece of work, an utterly intolerant bigot.

Feral, you could use it instead of Andrex - it's not so kind to the ringpiece, but is an improvement on Izal.

Or ignore them...

No, but if an answer isn't found quickly...

"The Old Testament is almost all violent and makes it clear that it OK to slaughter an entire race of people and steal their country."

It's just as well that no-one believe that now.
