But The Reason People Object To Their Presence Is 'Racism' And 'Prejudice'...

...isn't it?

Will Wilson, aged 79, whose home in Rogers Close backs onto the land, said: "It's absolutely horrendous. I can't understand that we apply the litter law to people who drop cigarette ends but when we get these people leaving a horrible mess like this no one can take any action or doesn't bother taking action.
"It is indescribable really what has happened. When they arrived last week I said the mess when they left would wreak havoc and it's done exactly that.
"It's a beautiful area, kids play on there and people take their dogs for a walk and people are unhappy when they see it turned into an absolute mess and used a toilet."
Another resident, who asked not to be named, added: "We've been scared to leave our house for the past week, these people have no morals whatsoever.
"How they've left the park in that way is disgusting."
Another resident, who did want to be named, said: "Tell me how it's fair that residents could be potentially fined for allowing their dogs to dirt in the park but the travellers themselves are leaving human faeces for us to clean up, where's the justice?
"What have the police done in this situation? I haven't seen them at all over the last week."
Either the law applies to everyone, or it doesn't...

No worries. Local plod have wasted no tine in chartering a jet to fly an immediate response team out to the Balearic Islands in order to be better acquainted with the historical rights of Roma gitanos and other minority groups.

Nor will you, dear; nor will you.

Looks a lot like much of Calais does these days, if you get my gist.

Strangely enough we were at a function not far from Sunningdale at the weekend, the travellers that reside there...pause for guffaws...must be better toilet trained as we saw no evidence of recent activities, and the famous Windsor and Ascot Asylum Assimilation Centre was difficult to pinpoint en route due to the multicultural clients strolling about in top hats and tails practicing their most English 'after you Claud' 'no after you Charles' routines whilst effortlessly doffing their titfers to their invisible ladies.

Until it affects places like the above and the people who own the country who live there, be assured it won't, nothing will change, the rest of us are cannon fodder.
Stupid/demented cannon fodder too as we continue to elect the same crooks to govern us and still expect a different result.

Travelling Irish are the same race as white Brits, so it's not racist.

But I'm deeply prejudiced against filthy shitty wastrels messing up this once green and pleasant land.

And in this particular case, Wolverhampton City Council ( a gnat's whisker away from bankruptcy) say that just to clean this site after the 'travellers' had buggered off cost £25,000.00

I despair!

As if there's not enough to worry about.

Back on the ould sod, the Irish police have an emphatic way of dealing with this problem. It's never a pretty sight but it works.

It could have something to do with the travellers' preference for England.

I went to the local recycling centre. They do a reasonable job of helping householders get spoil in to the right skips.

A white box van drew up. Out of the back tumbled a pile of pallets, boxes, wrappings etc. An unmistakeably traveller voice asked "Have you got a brush? Eh, have you got a broom?"

The bin man nodded dumbly and handed him one of the brooms they keep for sweeping up. The traveller proceeded to sweep out the back of his van. Then he chucked the broom on the pile in the middle of the parking area, got back in the cab and sped off.

I wonder why they bothered to blank out the number plate of the caravan in the photo.

After all, it's not as if anyone was going to do anything about their multiple offences against every possible moving and stationary traffic law, is it?

Or perhaps it was to protect the actual legal owners of the plate, who've probably been wondering for months where their caravan has got to.

Unfortunately, in this country at least, trespass is a civil offence and there is little the Police can do (or allegations will surely follow of abuse of authority, malfeasance in a public office, etc) unless associated criminal offences are identified. That is why the Garda have a better (in my view) way of dealing with such matters as trespass is a criminal offence in Ireland. That's why these parasites come over here for their freebie holidays. That is also why local taxpayers end up paying for the clean up bills. A concerted effort between Police, social services, Work and Pensions Department, the Vehicle Inspectorate and others would probably help resolve such matters. However, this action should come from the top and, as Judd said, unless David Cameron and his ilk find these people camped in their paddocks, nothing will be done.
By the way, Judd, you had a good day at Sunningdale, but be grateful you didn't go to Epsom for the Derby. You can't move for female mountains in mini skirts, white stilettos and back-combed boufants trying to make you accept lucky heather!

WOAR,
Our local tip, sorry, the council refuse and recycling centre, won't let vans past the entrance unless they've been checked out. Last year, travellers was refused admission as they either didn't have a council permit or refused to pay for one. The driver reversed out and him and his mate dumped the lot at the entrance. By the time they had finished, the Police were, nicked them for fly-tipping, and seized their van. For some reason, they haven't tried again.

Penseivat, that story of the old bill nicking the swine at the local tip has warmed the cockles of my heart, i shall drink a toast to more such small victories later.

Funny how these "Travellers" never make it further than England.

Why don't they try their wee caper with the Gendarmerie in France, or the SEK in Germany?

FT - have a look at the Le Parisien website - if you visit it on a regular basis you will see that their own travellers regularly cause havoc all over the greater Paris area behaving in much the same manner ours do. As Penseivat said trespass is a criminal matter in the ROI. This enables the Garda to take more robust action than is possible over here and is why they are all over here. It got rid of their New Age Travellers as well. I don't think there is any appetite to deal with the travelling community over here as it would require co-ordinated action from different departments and we all know that will happen, don't we?

I do indeed... :/

"Until it affects places like the above and the people who own the country who live there, be assured it won't, nothing will change, the rest of us are cannon fodder."

I do believe you're spot on.

"And in this particular case, Wolverhampton City Council ( a gnat's whisker away from bankruptcy) say that just to clean this site after the 'travellers' had buggered off cost £25,000.00"

£25,000 here, £25,000 there, sooner or later you're talking about real money. But hey, the taxpayer's paying, so what the hell.

"Then he chucked the broom on the pile in the middle of the parking area, got back in the cab and sped off."

I know where that broom should have ended up... :/

Habit? And to give the work experience trainee Photoshop experience?

"A concerted effort between Police, social services, Work and Pensions Department, the Vehicle Inspectorate and others would probably help resolve such matters."

And be brought to a screeching halt by all the usual suspects crying 'Waycism!'..

"Funny how these "Travellers" never make it further than England. "

Quite! Most of them never move out of the county!

XX Are they not Roma, though? XX

They say they are, and they are deffinately NOT Irish.

Strange thing is, at least in Berlin, they have perfect Manchester and Birmingham accents.
