Well, I live in East Yorkshire so my opinion is not likely to be taken into account in this particular case but here goes anyway. As a motorcyclist, a responsible motorcyclist, I have learned to mistrust the police due to having been repeatedly harassed by them for no reason. However, when I had my motorcycle stolen the police behaved in a thoroughly professional manner and did everything that could be expected of them in order to try to find the perpetrators. The bike was recovered in a damaged condition and the culprits were never found but, in the circumstances that was realistically to be expected.
