A man who used a high-powered hunting crossbow to shoot and injure two people in random and unprovoked attacks in west London has been given a hospital order.
He's 'mad', not bad, you see...
On Friday, Ramdeen, of Green Lane, Northwood, was sentenced at Isleworth Crown Court to a section 37 hospital order after pleading guilty to causing grievous bodily harm with intent following the attacks, according to the force.
The judge said he considered Ramdeen dangerous and that, had a hospital order not been an option, he would have passed a sentence of 14 years and nine months.
Seems to me, then, that once the headshrinkers have 'cured' him, he should then get the 14 years. Just in case they are wrong. Again.
Detective Inspector Daniel McInerney said: 'It's no exaggeration to say that in both instances the difference between life and death was but a matter of millimetres.
'If the variation of the bolts had been ever so slightly different, two sets of families would have lost a loved one and we'd have been looking at two very different investigations.
'It's pure good fortune that the second victim was so close to a hospital. The doctors and nurses saved this man's life.'
He added: 'Though Ramdeen's motive has never been established, the judge has been clear that he is considered a danger to the public and he has been sentenced appropriately.'

If he can't be deported (given the name), perhaps the judge would like to offer him accomodation when released....
I think that you get sent to Broadmoor if you are given the right hospital order, so it's a bit like prison.
Definitely a nutter - according to the judge. If it was a whitey and the victims less pinkish, it would be 'racially-aggravated'.
Turns out that Andrew Ramdeen is a quhoon, as was his first victim. Dunno about the second. From his photo he seems to have overindulged in the chiggun ...
So not racially aggravated, at least in the first case, but possibly a tribal rivalry.
Isn't a crossbow 'cultural misappropriation'? Wouldn't an assegai (or just a pointed stick, or a club) be a more reasonable and culturally-appropriate weapon?

PS. I'm not that keen on straightforward deportation. Can't we slaver-whiteys just sell the bastard on to Arabs? They'll do the necessary cutting operations, and save us poor taxpayers a lot of money in the meantime.

Regarding the man arrested for running over the knifeman in Maida Vale last month. Very quickly he was cleared by the police and CPS as I predicted. I expect an apology is on it's way Julia.

I very much doubt he'll ever see an apology from the cops, unless he employs a real shark of a solicitor and sues them.
And he wasn't 'cleared' at all. They opted not to proceed, in no small part, I suspect, because they've realised how it's going to look once we learn just how they dropped the ball in arresting him for the threats he made...
