Despicable Coward...

It is understood Dame Cressida was called to a meeting with the Mayor at 4.30pm on Thursday over the reforms but declined to attend and offered her resignation instead, catching the Home Office by surprise.
This was shortly after that interview with the BBC where she insisted she had no intention of resigning. And she didn't have the guts to face down the little pipsqueak?
An insider claimed:'It could be quite destabilising. How does this square with the fact that just last year he was arguing she should be given a three-year contract extension? The mayor owes the people of London an explanation.'
She's had the backing of everyone at the top of the political dungheap for far too long, hasn't she? There's a whole long list of people who owe the Londoners an explanation...
The Home Secretary will oversee the appointment of the new commissioner and more details on how she will set about searching for a replacement are expected to be confirmed in due course.
Well, now we will see what Priti's made of - can she find someone even worse?

Reader, I believe she can. Watch this space.

If Priti picks someone the mayor doesn't take to, who will be firing the new guy?

(Chances of picking the best candidate based on success against crime as CC of a smaller force are?)

I hope that Rick is unique and therefore irreplaceable.
Going by the CVs my choice would be Jukes. A proper degree, and some useful work.
But I fear that as with jury selection, where anyone showing common sense is objected to and turfed, it will be one of the others.
So my money would be on Basu.
Unless one of the others can reveal a secret, long held, of some alternative gender and Cherokee lurking somewhere in the family tree.
The rank and file will be enthused.

The last person to be the new Met Commissioner is a cop. When I was growing up the Commissioner was usually ex-Army and brooked no crapola from, as far as I was aware, the "professionals" or the politicians. Mind you, who really knows? The Establishment in those days was more discreet than now and the papers were rather less aggressive.

Back to reality: I would bet serious money that not one of the new commissioner's grandparents was born in Europe.

I have mixed feelings about this turn of events. I think she has shown the Mayor to be spiteful and impossible to work for, which is great.
Cressida is 61 years old, she has a previous pension from her post in the Met plus time with the Home Office. She will become a talking head on TV talk shows and write articles for the Guardian, she won't be struggling to pay her heating bills in the future. I can't believe she lasted so long before telling the HS and Khan to poke it. I certainly would have done it sooner.
Let's wait and see which diversity pick will come next, you may end up missing her.
Melvin will be along in a minute to tell us all whom he has chosen for her replacement in his (self-proclaimed) role as Kingmaker.

If she appoints Neil Basu she will have found someone worse.

Much as I detest Cressida Dyke, I also detest Sad-Dick Kan't.

Feck.

At last Priti Hopeless has an opportunity to show some leadership and select a non-Woke competent person to sort out the mess Dick's left behind. But will she?

Sad Javid has a brother in the force, currently heading up some investigation into parties in SW1. Wouldn't it be a neat fit if he got the nod?

The bets are on! Cut out the middleman and put Sad-Dick C**t in charge?

Fuck knows how Dick got away with it this long. She had that entirely innocent electrician summarily executed 16 years ago, lied about him trying to run away or something, and it went downhill from there.

Khan, who couldn't wait to get his Dick in, was soon screaming to get it out.

Interesting news to plod fans such as I.

Let's have a Muslim Commissioner who quickly states that the Sharia treatment of women is correct, then stand back and watch the woke, anti-west, libtards heads blow up.
In reality, there are so many levels of sociology degree senior officers between the new Chief and the rank and file, that even if Vlad the Impaler was dug up and given the job, he would be as ineffectual as Dick is/was.

I'd have thought that 'losing the confidence' of Mare Khan was a huge benefit, not enjoyed by many normal citizens who have to live and work in London.

He's screwed up so much of our capital coty in the few years he's been escorted to his personal people's palace, he might just as well complete the job so we never need a Met Plod again, as nobody will want to go and live there.

Yes, I'd rather like to see that. Too often do we have these arrogant london cliques using the rest of the country as a petri dish. Would be refreshing for them to get some of it back.

If Cressida Dick, a woman - lesbian woman at that, couldn’t get to grips with the misogyny issues in the Met what chance do any of those men being suggested as suitable replacements?

Let's give MTG a go. After all he has shown that he knows all there s to know about policing and how it should be done.

Vanishingly small!

"The last person to be the new Met Commissioner is a cop. When I was growing up the Commissioner was usually ex-Army and brooked no crapola from, as far as I was aware, the "professionals" or the politicians. "

Yup, it's going to be 'hope for the least worst' time, isn't it?

"I think she has shown the Mayor to be spiteful and impossible to work for, which is great."

And also not something we didn't know already...

"At last Priti Hopeless has an opportunity to show some leadership and select a non-Woke competent person to sort out the mess Dick's left behind. But will she?"

It's crunch time.

Even Priti isn't that useless, surely?

"Fuck knows how Dick got away with it this long."

Beats me. I wouldn't have thought 'possession of the right genitalia and sexuality' could carry anyone that far, but clearly I was wrong!

"...even if Vlad the Impaler was dug up and given the job, he would be as ineffectual as Dick is/was."

*sobs quietly*

"Let's give MTG a go. After all he has told us on many occasions that he knows all about policing."

You know, I think you've found that 'least worst' option!

Apparently Khant "will oppose any new Met Police chief unless they have a plan to deal with ‘cultural issues’ that have rocked the scandal hit force."

I reckon the reason the rank and file are so disaffected is because they are fed up of being expected to pay lip service to wokery. The force are recruiting people who are good at saying one thing and doing another.
