No Great Mystery, They Are Exactly Who We Thought They Were....

The rabble-rousers, the racehustlers, the terminally woke...

But in the days and weeks after his death in September 2022, many big names from Jeremy Corbyn to Diane Abbott and the University of Greenwich called for 'justice' after Mr Kaba was gunned down and killed while trying to flee police.
But the truth is Kaba wasn't just an ordinary motorist going about his daily life on September 5, 2022. He was one of London's most feared gangsters fleeing police, high on cocaine and ready to run over anyone in his way.

No-one really believed he wasn't, surely? And the politicians, like the Mayor of London, would have known this.

Not that the police themselves are free from criticism of their handling of this case:

Scotland Yard was last night looking to scrap disciplinary charges against Martyn Blake following his acquittal. The police watchdog, who carried out a seven-month investigation into the shooting of Chris Kaba, decided last year that the sergeant should face a separate gross misconduct hearing relating to his 'use of force' after the conclusion of the criminal case. The Met backed the assessment with its Directorate of Professional Standards agreeing there was a disciplinary 'case to answer' on the 'available evidence'.

But now, they've changed their mind, because they can see that public favour is with them:

But now the force has abandoned its support of the Independent Office of Police Conduct (IOPC) decision and will be calling for the disciplinary process to be halted after the Met officer was acquitted of Kaba's murder. The revelation Met bosses initially backed the disciplinary will anger firearms officers who say they are not properly supported and face years of investigation if they pull the trigger to protect a life.

It should anger everyone, because it clearly reveals the Met Police top brass as honourless cowards who do whatever they think will garner them favourable headlines, and not what they believe is the right and lawful thing to do.

These Dogs And Criminality Go Together...

Police said in a statement: “Officers were deployed to the scene and detained a man on suspicion of burglary, attempted burglary and possession of a Class A drug before transferring him into Derbyshire Police’s custody.
“Two dogs present in the property, believed to be an unregistered XL Bully and a pit bull type crossbreed, were displaying aggressive behaviour and could not be safely contained or seized.
“Due to the heightened risk of harm as a result of the level of aggression from both animals, a decision was made to humanely destroy them at the scene.”

Well done cops! For once, the taxpayer isn't on the hook for kennel costs, and no kennelmaid is at risk of being mauled until some bewigged moron can drag himself to the bench to order their destruction. They won't make another family's trip to the shops a living nightmare now.

Of course, over on Facebook, the pitnutters are boo-hooing over the 'unnecessary deaths' of the maulers, some wondering why the neighbours weren't able to take them in (of course the police refused, idiots, when they seize an illegal weapon they don't just turn it over to any Tom Dick or Harry!).

And complaining the cops made a mess of the shooting (Well, it was Yorkshire armed plod and dogs are a smaller target than horses).

They needed Limehouse cop - he made a much better job of it. I await the inevitable doggy chavshrine...

And Let's All Hope It's Not The Last...

Marcus is a German citizen with pre-settled status in the UK, where he lives with his family: his partner, Holly Cullen-Davies, and his two stepchildren. Any non-citizen who has been sentenced to at least 12 months in prison is, unless they successfully appeal, automatically deported to their country of origin. According to the immigration charity Settled, this appears to be “the first time in the UK that the power of deportation has been used after a criminal conviction flowing from a protest.
Good. Living in the country isn't a right, it's a privilege. Abuse it, and get sent back where you came from.
Holly, a concert pianist and choir leader, cannot move to Germany: her children need to be close to their dad, and she’s committed to looking after her parents. I met them for the first time last week, and I’ve seldom come across such a devoted couple. But unless Marcus can successfully appeal, their right to family life will be cruelly snatched away.

Actions have consequences, George, boo hoo!

Holly told me: “It’s impossibly sad to face the possibility that we’ll be separated for life. It feels like an intolerable punishment for the whole family.”
This is just one example of the vindictiveness of a flailing political class seeking to snuff out democratic challenge.

He didn't decide to 'offer a democratic challenge' though, did he? He didn't stand for office, or organise a petition - he climbed an important piece of infrastructure and inconvenienced thousands, to try to force his own viewpoint on others. That's the very opposite of democratic,

Climate campaigners have recently been deprived of their right to explain their motives to a jury, so now they are tried as if they were mindless vandals. Those who have sought to explain nonetheless have been imprisoned for contempt of court. The 69-year-old Trudi Warner is being prosecuted at the government’s behest for holding a placard stating an accepted fact of British law: that juries have a right to act according to their conscience.

And it hasn't stopped her, because she was at the side entrance to Snaresbrook Crown Court when I arrived for jury service on Wednesday morning the week before last.

The home secretary could cancel Marcus’s deportation with one stroke. So far, 157,000 people have signed a petition urging him to do so. As injustice is piled upon injustice, a great cruelty is being done. We need our Robin Hoods.

Robin Hood (allegedly) robbed from the rich to give to the poor - he didn't stop the poor earning an honest living.

I'm Guessing She Wouldn't Have Passed An IQ Test...

The Old Bailey heard today how all four individuals had been drinking on the night of the incident, but driver Aidonojie passed a breathalyser test taken two hours after the crash.
Come to think of it, neither would her passengers:
A driver killed her two friends who were ‘twerking’ in the back of her convertible Mini Cooper as it sped at more than double the speed limit before crashing and overturning, a court heard today.
Adele Ojokie Aidonojie, 23, denies causing death and serious injury by dangerous driving after Rida Boujetif and Mary Macharia, both 23, were killed following the car crash in Battersea, west London, in the early hours of July 16, 2022. The back-seat passengers were not wearing seat belts as Aidonojie's car travelled at approximately 62mph on Latchmere Road, which has a 30mph speed limit, while the vehicle's roof was down. Both women were flung from the car following the collision and suffered fatal head injuries as a result.
Ben Sidibe, a front seat passenger, was also taken to hospital with a fractured upper arm.

Absolutely no loss whatsoever to society here.

Ms Mertens said Aidonojie told a witness at the scene: ‘Don’t call the police or ambulance, I’ll get arrested.’ Aidonojie said there had been a ‘hit and run’, and asked another witness if the street had cameras, the court heard.

It's London, what are the odds?

Aidonojie, of Edgeborough Way, Bromley, denies two counts of death by dangerous driving and one count of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

Good luck with that!

Should Have Read Some Robert Ruark, Scots ARV Cops...

A "dangerously out of control" bully-type dog was shot SIX times by cops after it attacked another dog and injured three people.
Gun cops were deployed to the Calderwood area of East Kilbride after reports of the large dog attacking a Collie at around 10.25am this morning.
Local officers attempted to restrain the 'Xl-Bully' type dog at an address on Mannering but were forced to call in specialists after they failed to contain the crazed animal.
In the shocking footage, officers are heard counting to ten before four loud shots are fired. The dog is heard yelping, barking and squealing before two more bullets are deployed which eventually kill it.
...may I recommend this one?

After all, with the influx of these things north of The Wall, you're going to need it...

And Did Elizabeth Sennett Take A Shorter Time To Die...?

Probably not, since you stabbed her eight times in the chest and once on each side of neck. For money.
He was sentenced to death in 1996 for the murder-for-hire slaying of a preacher's wife in 1988, where he was paid just $1,000 for the hit.

And this wasn't his first rodeo, as it turns out:

...his previous scheduled execution in November 2022 was called off after painful hours of botched attempts to inject him with an IV line.
Following the failed execution in 2022, Smith sought his subsequent execution to be carried out via nitrogen hypoxia - in an apparent gamble that officials wouldn't follow through with the untested method.

Well, it's tested now!

Maya Foa, director of human rights organization Reprieve, told DailyMail.com: 'They said lethal injection was humane - that was a lie. They'll claim this execution was humane, and that is a lie, too.
'The whole purpose of these methods is to hide pain. How many more prisoners must die agonizing deaths before we see executions for what they really are: the state violently taking a human life?'

You seem OK with citizens doing it and facing no penalty, Maya...

Oh, It Absolutely Did...

“His death did not reflect him as a person.”

Hmmm, really?

Taylor Perkins – who had high levels of methamphetamine in his system – was killed when his Audi TT collided with a bus in Manston as he was pursued by officers in a patrol car.

I guess pulling over wasn't an option?

His devastated grandmother, Gaynor Perkins, says they want him to instead be remembered as someone who loved his family and was “incredibly loyal”.

To what..? To whom..? His dealer?

Home Secretary In 'Doing Her Job' Shock!

The home secretary, Suella Braverman, has personally intervened to bar a man living in exile in Turkey from being reunited in the UK with his British son. He wrote to the Home Office asking to be allowed to come back but instead Braverman has ordered his exclusion “on the basis of serious criminality” because of a cannabis offence from five years ago.

No, he wasn't just caught with a spliff. He was a dealer.

Twala’s lawyer said Braverman’s intervention set a “worrying precedent”.

Good! Let's hope it does. And his failure to do anything about his own circumstances has been what's tripped him up here:

Twala had residency in the UK having grown up in Britain but had not yet applied for citizenship. His immigration status now hangs in the balance because of a 2018 conviction for possession of cannabis with intent to supply. He has not offended before or since and served four months of a nine-month sentence – lower than the 12-month threshold that triggers automatic deportation.

So what? We have enough home-grown cannabis dealers. We don't need the ones we don't have to have in this country.

The Labour MP Diane Abbott, who has campaigned on behalf of Windrush victims, said it was “shocking that the home secretary is using an exclusion order in this type of case”.
It is completely wrong that he is permanently separated from his son. Nothing that he has done justifies this. We can only hope that Suella Braverman thinks again.”

But he's not 'seperated from his son', is he? There's nothing stopping his son joining him...

Oopsie..!

Chiragh Chiragh (Ed: So good they named him twice?), 39, gunned down Mohamed Muhyidin, 28, as he sat in the front passenger seat of a car parked outside a flat in High Street, Harlington, west London in the early hours of Halloween morning in 2021.
He then drove the victim's body minutes away round the corner and dumped it by the side of the road near to Heathrow Airport, where it was found by a taxi driver.

Save your tears for this 'poor victim', though. He was no innocent.

The shooting happened in a car park outside a block where one of the flats was used as a base for drug users and dealers to meet, police said. Chiragh and Muhyidin, along with another man - Mohammed Shakeel who had a fake firearm - and a 17-year-old boy all went to the flat the previous evening, where an argument broke out. Just before 5am, Chiragh left the flat with a submachine gun and got into a car with Muhyidin, who was sitting in the front passenger seat. But as he climbed out of the back door of the vehicle, the gun accidentally went off and Muhyidin, who was sitting directly in front of Chiragh, was shot through the chair.

I'm sure Alec Baldwin knows how you feel, Chiragh!

Detective Inspector Lucy Carberry from the Met's Specialist Crime Command said today (Mon) that the defendants intended to injure someone that day, even if it was not the actual victim.

Well, indeed! Dumb criminals are always the best criminals, aren't they..?

Oh Dear, Jacinda...

...it seems they did. And they said 'That's quite enough of those, thanks!'.

In a poll published in December, Labour's popularity slipped one per cent to 33 per cent while the country's major centre-right party, National, rose one point to 38 per cent. Nine months out from the October 14 election, Labour looked like it was headed for the exit door and something had to change - but nobody predicted Ms Ardern's bombshell resignation on Thursday.

When the going gets tough, the tough get going, eh?

Awkward!

Four men go on trial this week. And it would have been five...
They are suspected of conspiring to murder a 23-year-old rival who was shot on the dance floor at the Oval Space nightclub in Cambridge Heath, according to The Telegraph.
The victim was chased out of the nightclub and shot twice by a gunman before being taken to the Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel. He was treated for gunshot wounds to both legs, but survived the attack.
The four men appeared at Thames Magistrates Court on October 28 charged with conspiracy to murder. The newspaper reported that the prosecution will allege Mr Kaba helped plot the attack and was present at the incident.
Yes, Reader. That Mr Kaba.

"You couldn’t believe it was happening, it was like something from Line of Duty"

If so, it was the scriptwriter's day off:
A man armed with a ‘sword-like weapon’ was shot dead outside a police station yesterday.
He was gunned down after breaching a secure car park and smashing the windows of parked vehicles.

So much for 'secure car park'...

Six shots were heard by Mark Baxter, who works at a nearby motor firm.
‘I was in reception with my colleague when there was suddenly a series of bangs,’ said the 59-year-old.
‘We looked at each other and knew instantly it wasn’t a car backfiring. There were two sharp blasts, two shots afterwards, a little delay and then two more shots.
‘We went outside and a lot of police officers were there. We saw there was someone on the ground with a guy stood over him with a gun, a police officer with a rifle and then they shut the road off.’

 So much for 'marksmen'...

Derbyshire Constabulary said armed officers were called to the scene after a man was seen ‘armed with a knife in the secure car park’ of the police station.
A spokesman added: ‘A police firearm was discharged. The man, whose identity is unknown, sustained a gunshot injury and East Midlands Ambulance Service were requested to attend.’

So much for accuracy...

Hey, You're Right, In A Way...

Last night, amid all the politics, there was some other news. Armed cops ventilated a chap who'd lead them on a chase in Stretham.

And the BBC news reports were filled with the usual suspects bewailing the actions and demanding 'justice' for a man 'about to be a father'. Although as is often the case, 'had sired a child' is far more accurate a description of his domestic affairs.

And in one sense, this moron is right. Because, just like Mark Duggan, it quickly transpired that this 'so funny, super-kind, always happy' chap is....just another criminal

Not that that will matter to the usual suspects as they start to rabble-rouse - I expect there'll be the usual 'march for justice' when the rain stops.

Why, Heidi? He Did The Country A Favour...

Jurors at Berkshire Coroner's Court heard Mr Medford was strip-searched by officers and he was taken to hospital for a scan to check if the drugs were being concealed internally.
Officers also did not find drugs on a third search of the father of eight after he was taken back to the station.

This is listed in all the usual suspects' social media as 'a death in police custody', and 'another case where the police have killed a black man'...

CCTV footage from the cell played in court showed him later removing a package from his trousers and swallowing it, which was not seen by the two constables on duty.

It was heroin and it killed the idiot. So while technically a 'death in custody', it was entirely by his own hand. Case closed?

Heidi Connor, senior coroner for Berkshire, said police should have "done more" and called for a review into how suspected drug users are monitored in custody.

What more should they have done, Heidi? How many more man hours should they have wasted on someone who's passing could only be said to have improved the country and caused a minor uptick in the overall IQ level?

Karma's A Bitch...

The victim was attacked while walking in London Road late on August 20, 2020. He suffered severe face, head and back injuries during the attack, which involved the use of a machete.
The victim was left blind in both eyes as a result of his injuries. Draper, of Sheepen Road, Colchester, fled the scene along with fellow attacker Sam Jarman-Hall.

Made a clean getaway? Well, no, Reader, not quite.

But Jarman-Hall somehow injured himself while fleeing and was found with fatal injuries in College Way. He died a week later.
CCTV footage of the incident confirmed he had injured himself with the blade he was carrying.

Gosh, where's my tiny violin?

 Welcome back, old friend!

Draper admitted charges of GBH with intent, affray, possession of an offensive weapon and possession of cannabis when he appeared at Basildon Crown Court on April 8.
On Thursday, he was sentenced to 12-and-a-half years in prison, with five years on extended licence.

Why wasn't he charged with attempted murder?

Keeping That Appointment With Karma In Samarra...

A father-of-two died at the same bus stop where he had killed a young woman in a hit-and-run collision eight years earlier, an inquest has heard.

For 'died at', read 'crashed into'.

The carpenter from Clapham was speeding at 60mph in a 30mph zone before he collided with an advertising board at the bus stop, MyLondon reports.
Mr Davis was thrown nearly 25m onto the opposite pavement, sustaining 'multiple open fractures and massive internal bleeding'.

No better at driving a motorcycle than a car, clearly...

Coroner Sarah Valentine recorded a conclusion that Mr Davis died in a road traffic collision.

I prefer to think karma finally caught up with him...

"It is the ancient instinct of terriers and policemen to chase anything that runs away."

No charges will be filed against the Chicago police officers who chased and fatally shot 13-year-old Adam Toledo and 22-year-old Anthony Alvarez within days of each other last year, prompting sharp criticism of how the department handles foot pursuits, a prosecutor announced on Tuesday.

Well, why should they have charges filed against them? Weren't they doing exactly what we keep policemen - and terriers - for..?

The Cook county state’s attorney, Kim Foxx, said there was insufficient evidence to charge the officers in the deaths, which were captured on video that showed both suspects appeared to have handguns before the shootings.

QED!

In both Chicago shootings, officers chased suspects on foot – a highly unpredictable situation that critics, including the US Department of Justice, have said is dangerous for both officers and suspects and leads to too many unnecessary shootings.

Define 'unnecessary' - I'd have though getting armed felons off the streets by any means necessary was a defining factor of their job!

After the shootings last year, Chicago’s mayor, Lori Lightfoot, demanded the police department come up with a clear foot pursuit policy – something that has been discussed for years but has not happened. Chicago police now say they are finalizing a policy, though one still is not in place.

Hopefully it'll say 'We're still going after armed people who refuse to stop when ordered to do so. Sorry if that loses you a voter or two'.

All Together Now...

The officer who fatally shot 16-year-old Ma'Khia Bryant last year was cleared of wrongdoing after a grand jury dropped all charges against him.

Because she had a knife

"It’s always sad when there is a loss of life, however, the actions of the people at scene, caused him to take action that saved lives and he is trained very well," Fraternal Order of Police President Jeff Simpson told ABC 6. "He did his job, and it is a good outcome."

Because she had a knife

At a briefing last year, White House press secretary Jen Psaki called the shooting "tragic." “She was a child," Psaki said.

With a knife.

Despicable Coward...

It is understood Dame Cressida was called to a meeting with the Mayor at 4.30pm on Thursday over the reforms but declined to attend and offered her resignation instead, catching the Home Office by surprise.
This was shortly after that interview with the BBC where she insisted she had no intention of resigning. And she didn't have the guts to face down the little pipsqueak?
An insider claimed:'It could be quite destabilising. How does this square with the fact that just last year he was arguing she should be given a three-year contract extension? The mayor owes the people of London an explanation.'
She's had the backing of everyone at the top of the political dungheap for far too long, hasn't she? There's a whole long list of people who owe the Londoners an explanation...
The Home Secretary will oversee the appointment of the new commissioner and more details on how she will set about searching for a replacement are expected to be confirmed in due course.
Well, now we will see what Priti's made of - can she find someone even worse?

Reader, I believe she can. Watch this space.

"No, We Should Be Immune From Market Forces!"

Speaking about the prospect of the UK’s first black publisher and specialist bookshop closing, Prof Augustine John, chair of the Communities Empowerment Network (CEN) charity, said it was “at the heart of the community” and should be saved.

If it truly was 'at the heart of the community', it wouldn't need saving, would it?

“New Beacon Books is the only remaining independent black publishing and bookselling entity in the UK,” he said. “Throughout its 55 years, it has been pivotal to the growth of the Black Education Movement, the Black Supplementary School Movement and current calls for the decolonisation of the curriculum.”

Hmm, sounds like something that won't be missed, then. I'd never heard of the first two organisations, so I looked them up - they were set up to oppose streaming and specialist schools in Haringey as 'racist'...

Unlike Amazon, Alibris and other online suppliers, New Beacon has been at the heart of communities, building social movements and giving expression to young voices.”

Yes, of course, it's all the fault of Amazon, that dastardly corporation dedicated to giving the shopper what they want...

The actor Adjoa Andoh...

...tweeted: “I am so sad about this wonderful bookshop and the haven of cultural solidarity and information it provided to the black and extended communities for over half a century.”

I note you don't say how often you shopped there...

Another social media user, Elliot Ross, commented: “How have we in the UK made this a time of unprecedented ‘visibility’ for works by Black authors, while at the same time producing the conditions in which a radical bulwark like New Beacon Books can’t sustain itself after half a century of vital work?”

Look around you - how many independent booksellers do you see? Much less tiny niche ones.
