You pay a complete stranger to drive you from A to B for money, that's called a taxi , not an "Uber. I've always said that Uber was the worst kind of modern capitalism; pure, short-term money-grabbing dressed up as hip "disruptive" entrepreneurism that's intended to help ordinary folk. The whole business model was to get their hooks into a location and before the politicians and lawmakers could catch up , see it for what it really is, and take steps to control it.
