Once, in Helsinki with a mate, we were on the streets after 10pm and therefore suspicious; we were picked up by the Finns. Luckily not swung round by the Swedes.

Yup. I smirked: mind you, I also did some 50 years ago when the radio announced "A man was shot in the Lower Falls".
Painful, thought I (irreverently and probably inhumanely).

And, of course, it's always good advice for a gentleman to avoid getting into a fight when on holday in Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza, or Formentera.
Because it's not nice to get kicked in the Balearics.

I see this a lot, usually when they've been unable to get a statement from an official source and are relying on social media or eyewitness reports.
