*With apologies to the late, great Laurence...
Live by Night, which was Affleck’s directorial follow-up to Best Picture winner Argo, was a box office flop.
When you hire actors who can't convincingly portray someone with chemistry, what else do you expect? I mean, 'pretending to be someone you're not' is pretty much the whole job description, isn't it?
And watching Oscar Isaac in Disney+'s 'Moon Knight' effortlessly convincing viewers at the flip of a card that he's not one but two different characters (soon to be three?) in a single episode, you have to wonder at the stunning lack of self-awareness of somone who could say something like this...

I may be mixing memories here, but don't think "Gone With The Wind" suffered because Vivien Leigh hated Clark Gable so much that when they had to do closeups she chewed garlic beforehand. I suppose the big difference could be that Vivien Leigh was a real actress.
Do you remember that episode of Friends, where Joey said that if there's no chemistry on stage, they're doin' it off stage?
It's possibly a double bluff in the hope that people will watch the film to try and see the lack of chemistry.
On the other hand, it could just be another pretty face who is prepared to show her boobs and whinging because she didn't win an award.
Anyway, who cares?

It's going to take more than that to persuade me!
