It's reassuring that the civilised world can rely on home-grown nutters while importing fresh stock daily through non-existent immigration controls.
When a senior FBI agent is more concerned about the right to wear a nose ring, than doing something to uphold the Constitution and protect the country's citizens, then it's possibly the time to suggest she's in the wrong job.

Speaking of the X-Files, I've just finished all 11 series. I gave up originally when Mulder disappeared. I actually enjoyed the later series when it started taking the p*ss out of itself.
