I Don't Like The Sound Of This...

Very low levels of lithium in drinking water may help prevent suicide in the general population, according to a new study.
Hmmm, now where would they get the idea that putting lithium in the water might be ethical, I wonder?

Oh. Right:
The study has prompted calls for further research into the possibility of adding lithium to drinking supplies – like water fluoridation to improve dental health.
Slippery slope, anyone?

Next it will be prozac in the water to keep us all docile.

I don't like the idea of public medication by water. I really don't.

Most of the people who commission these studies would greatly benefit from low levels* of lead introduced into the brain.

People drink water? Really?

Don't you all know what fish do in that stuff? Never touch it myself, except for washing.

If they start adding whisky to it, I'll drink it, but until then, no chance.
