Why Did You Ever Tolerate It?

Borough lead member for neighbourhoods Arshid Mahmood said: “We have asked police for a greater presence and will approach management at the THOMAS drop-in facility to agree a process of moving people on.

“We will no longer tolerate such behaviour and are taking action against owners of hostels and houses of multiple occupation to reinforce the message.”
That’s nice. Were you happy to tolerate it before, and you are only now covering your shiny arse because someone’s gone to the papers, perhaps?
A Salvation Army spokesman said: “We work with some of the most vulnerable people in society. ..
Oh, please! Enough of this sophistry!

Your ‘service users’ aren’t vulnerable at all, they are the swearing, fighting, vomiting drink & drug-taking scum that are making life hell for the genuinely vulnerable children who have the misfortune to be within earshot…
… Our staff have been in contact with the local authority to ‘safe clean’ the area. We have taken steps to make service users aware of the feelings locally and to work out the best way of eradicating any problems.”
Bang ‘em up until they can behave like normal people instead of animals, maybe?

“We will no longer tolerate such behaviour..."

Easy Arseshit, old son, I thought we lived in a tolerant society?

"... taking action against owners of hostels and houses of multiple occupation..."

Lithuanians, Poles etc. Zzzzzzz

"Service users"

A handy Newspeak word that does not unfairly discriminate between taxpayers and scroungers.

3 things to note:

1) The totally inappropriate use of arson here (it's not arson to set light to paper and plastic poppy wreaths), when it's obviously a so-called hate crime.

2) The PCs earning a packet for cleaning a war memorial. Kudos and easy money for them, but the taxpayer is short-changed.

3) The gratuitous tweet (aren't they always?) which helps to pad the piece, puff egos and distract readers from the key issue (hahaha, all a bit of fun, no harm done, look at me in my halal Marigolds, celebrate diversity zzzzz).

4) Look at the way the uber-PC Super manages to turn what should be taken seriously as a crime committed to insult, distress and mark territory by Muslim yoof into an opportunity to work in the diversity angle.

Thanks for your continued diligence, Julia, and all the best!

A piece stuffed full of municipal socialist new speak indeed - drivel. Busy doing nothing.

With regard to the War Memorial matter mentioned by Anon at 10:05 whilst I disagree with what he says in vis-avis being shortchanged he is right that this clearly IS a hate crime but clearly NOT the right kind of hate crime.

I nearly threw up reading what the idiot chief supt said - how these people manage to mangle and twist a response to a nasty, vicious act designed to insult and upset into a justification of the ridiculous unfettered immigration into this country with all the attendant problems (Health & disease, Terrorism, General Crime, human trafficking, drug trsafficking etc etc) is a ringing testament to his common purpose training. Fuckwit and a disgrace.

They have the Opel furniture vans on order, and will be tubing the exhaust to the passenger area cooling system as soon as the right piping can be delivered.

I have to admit, I had missed that entirely.

Typical police self-aggrandisement for PC Brownie points! :/

"How would she know about the swearing?"

Good old Anglo-Saxon gestures? ;)

We'd need a fleet!
