Investigating officer Det Con Paul Gutteridge, of Southend CID, said: "This was a nasty incident that left a man with very serious injuries, from which he is still recovering from.
"He was unable to give a description of his attackers, but someone will know what happened and who was involved and I am appealing for anyone with information to please come forward.”Well, if an attack happens on December 16th, maybe don't wait until a full month later to ask?
After you've closed the case without contacting him and then been shamed by a Facebook campaign into hastily re-opening it?
Just a thought.

"...was attacked by up to three men."
"...he was attacked by about four youths..."
Uh huh. Even the second-hand witness statements don't agree with each other.
"He could of easily been killed."

"Even the second-hand witness statements don't agree with each other."
