"Bring me margaritas, champagne and red wine, we're gonna have a party where we all cross the line"

A youth jumped out the top window of a bus being escorted by police.
Eh..?
Video footage captures the moment chaos erupted while police were escorting a bus-load of children back from a house party in Hangleton on Friday night.
That's policing's job now? Seriously?
One teen can be seen jumping out a top window, which had already been smashed, while others rushed off the lower deck and out onto Sackville Road, Hove.
What were the 'escorts' doing? Couldn't they have arrested the vandals?
The boss of Brighton and Hove buses has spoken out following the arrest of a male for criminal damage.
Managing director Martin Harris said: “What a senseless act of vandalism to wilfully damage one of our buses, buses that people in this city rely on every day to get around.
“Our Police Liaison Officer and our other colleagues always work closely to support the police in these situations and we will, of course, supply police with CCTV of the incident.”
Why do you need to rely on camera footage? Weren't there police at the scene?

Yes. Lots!
Police Liaison Officer, PC Jackson, who works for the bus company and Sussex Police on public transport issues, supported police by helping people leave the area on a 5B bus.
Multiple police units, including PC Jackson, followed the bus as it travelled.
But didn't see nuffin', guv....

Don't worry it won't take the police long to dream up reasons to do nothing about this sort of criminal behaviour. I am surprised they were even present, in my area they are an endangered species and we have not seen a single uniform for over two years. The average people in UK have been abandoned by the police who make any lame excuse to do nothing and will even resort to outright lies to avoid having to attend any crime.

Strange...plod can spring onto the car bonnet of an elderly motorist and baton-trash the windscreen for the most trivial of offences - even if the evidence has to be 'helped' along. Not to mention 'there' dedication to the cyberspace beat and thought monitoring...right,Jaded?

A friend who works in the 'service' tells me younger officers in particular insist on being provided with print-outs and stand around reading them before attending calls. On one recent occasion on leaving the station he found the car park littered with print-outs containing very sensitive information: the culprit had obviously put them on the roof of the car while opening the door and then just driven off. The incident to which the officers were 'responding'? Oh, just a rape in progress. No biggie.

Given the way the Met are being castigated by the progressives for being too handy at that illegal rave in Neasden at the weekend, who could really blame them?

I don't recall Regan and Carter needing those before getting stuck in!
