When I first saw a new Star Wars show announced on Disney+, and then saw what the title was, I was a little perplexed.
Sure, we all knew Boba Fett (who later got his own show, though it didn't have the impact of this one!) but a show about a character whose defining feature is that he never takes off his helmet to show his face? And you cast Pedro Pascal? How will that work?
And it did! Thanks to a certain marketing goldmine in the form of 'Baby Yoda'. The second season couldn't quite match the first, but it was still far more watchable than anything on terrestrial TV.
And the theme tune was pretty good too!

We liked it too. All the lore about Mandalorians and their helmets and stuff, seemed to be created just for this series. I don't remember anything about it in the original films.
And it says a lot about Boba Fett who was, lets be honest, a minor character, to spawn a TV show about his race. He must have had a big impact with the fans. Unless they could have stuck Baby yoda with any old character and still pulled it off? Maybe all the appeal was just for the little cute green dude?
With all these Star Wars spin-offs, I suppose it's just a matter of time before "Baby Yoda meets Ant and Dec".

That's the beauty of a tv series, you have more time to develop the story!

Oh, they can keep them coming, you can never have too much 'Star Wars', though I couldn't really warm to 'Andor' to be honest.
