"...You'll never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy..."

Sorry, Obi-Wan.

It seems that, if the post by Old Holborn relating to journalist Robert Green's treatment at the hands of Grampian Police is only halfway true, then Aberdeen might just give Mos Eisley Spaceport a run for its money...

Other blogs have picked this up, and it's beginning to filter out into the press, but slowly, and not with the sort of fuss you normally see:
The legal adviser to the family of a disabled woman who claims she was abused by a paedophile ring as a child has appeared in court charged with breach of the peace.

Robert Green, 63, appeared from custody at Stonehaven Sheriff Court yesterday accused of an offence spanning eight months.

The political hopeful represents the mother of Hollie Greig, a 30-year-old woman with Down’s Syndrome.

Hollie claims she was sexually assaulted by a Scottish sheriff, who is still serving, and a senior Grampian Police officerwho is now dead.
Now, I'm not one for conspiracy theories, but this stinks, doesn't it?

It's no wonder the MSM want to crack down on those pesky blogs. They seem to be doing the job they are just too frightened or too complacent to do themselves...

As Fausty points out in comments at OH's blog:
"Well done for running this, OH. The more bloggers who do, the greater the likelihood that we can sink the bastards. They can't shut us all up."
Or as one of my favourite movies puts it: "Can't stop the signal..."

There's a whole lot more if you dig a little. Have a look at my latest post, (blog roll addition).

If conspiracy did not exist, it would not be an offence in every country/system that even PRETENDS to have a legal system.

The lawyers are having a good go, though, and no surprise since careers are on the line.

They've pulled the Robert Green videos, which was presumably why the police were so anxious to impound the computer to stop any more being uploaded.

The blogs are saying that the terms of bail prevent Green representing the Greigs and make him check in to Warrington nick three times a week to try to prevent him doing public appearances.

Why doesn't the Sheriff just take Green to libel court and ice him if Green can't make his case. Even in Scotland libel law favours the complainant, or he could launch a case here, no trouble. Everyone else does. If the Sheriff wins, it would definitively discredit Green permanently. He knows where Green lives - the bloke has written to him often enough.

Of course, the police would have to explain why it has taken them ten years to do nothing at all, when a complaint about even the most innocent teacher warrants and immediate suspension and months of investigation.

They'd have to explain why Mrs Greig was sectioned, then the doctors withdrew their diagnosis, or why Mrs Greig's brother turned up dead but was apparently misclassified as smoke inhalation when the post mortem later showed he couldn't have inhaled due to having a smashed sternum.

They would have to explain why they arrested Green and impounded his gear when he has been openly investigating and fully identified for ages.

They'd have to explain why named BBC investigators claim to have been told to drop the case, rather than regretfully pointing out that at the heart of it, it all hangs on Hollie's testimony and the as-yet unpublic testimony of other alleged victims, and that's just not enough.

I'm not Bea Campbell; the uncorroborated testimony of one Down's Syndrome person cannot be treated as proof as strong as holy writ. She has got to make her case not just assert it.

However, since the criminal law has been wheeled in to suppress a fully identified campaigner, and there's an extraordinary run of events, I'd say the Sheriff inclines me to think that there is something in what the girl alleges.

No, not 'Contact'.

It's from 'Serenity', Joss Whedon's film sequel to the sadly-cancelled 'Firefly' tv series.
