is what you want in a Mayor:
The town of Wootton Bassett has become famous for the humane and dignified way it honours fallen service personnel when their bodies are flown back from the battlefield.
Now the Wiltshire community's mayor has demonstrated that the place also takes good care of its own citizens after rushing to the aid of a dying man following a desperate call from a stranger.
Quite a difference from the antics of Sonia 'Tradition? Pah!' Lewis
Champion said she did not consider her actions out of the ordinary. "It was what anyone in my situation would have done."
Class will out, I guess...
There's a refreshing change! Well done her, what a hero.
Sonia Lewis wouildn't know grace or decency if it was wrapped round a brick and hit her in the face.
Such simple humane decency coupled with modesty? Blimey. As you say, class.
It's really heartwarming to hear about someone doing their job - or even more than their job - and doing it well. Possibly because it's now so rare...
