A clubber who claimed she was sexually assaulted after a night out has been cautioned after admitting she made it up.Oh, just cautioned?
She claimed the assault happened after she went clubbing in McClusky’s in Kingston on Saturday, February 18, but she was arrested three days later after investigations failed to corroborate her story. Are they going to trot out the same old flannel as…
She then told police her claims were a fabrication.
Why, yes. Yes, they are:
Detective Inspector Andy Gallagher said: “Many hours of police time were spent on this investigation, including on extensive CCTV viewing and witness inquiries.Just not too far or too fast, eh?
“This took resources away from genuine inquiries with genuine victims. The victim was lucky to simply receive a caution for this appalling waste of police time as it was her first offence.
“We will continue to deal with any allegations of sexual crimes with sensitivity and speed and will always listen, but we will not tolerate false and time-wasting allegations and will pursue the people who make them.”
Anyone who makes up an allegation of rape could face a charge of perverting the course of justice, according to the Crown Prosecution Service. A lesser charge of wasting police time carries a maximum penalty of six months’ imprisonment and a £2,500 fine.Yes, rather like the Lottery’s slogan ‘It Could Be You’, it probably won’t be though.
Naturally, the sisterhood are starting to get a bit jittery:
Yvonne Traynor of Rape Crisis South London warned the case would deter women who had been assaulted from coming forward.Surely the public can make up their own minds?
She said: “[False allegations] very, rarely happen.
“I do not want the public to think this is a common occurance.”
What are you suggesting, love? That no-one reports these cases, because it’s inconvenient for you?
She said police research showed the number of false reports across all crimes was 3 per cent and she was worried stories about false allegations might make jurors less likely to believe alleged victims. You aren’t comparing like with like, there, though. It’s pretty easy to report a false rape, and less so when you report your car stolen, and the police check to see if you ever owned one in the first place…
And when you've got women happily inventing murder just to get a bit of attention and a boost to their career, I really don't think the public's going back to believing that women don't lie about rape, do you?

It well may be that only 3% accross ALL crimes are false, but I wouldn't mind betting that nearer 30% of reported rapes are false. Possibly more.
Of course there are some false accusations of rape. Too many probably. But what gets my goat is the fact that Mr Plod becomes Mr Gullible when rape is alleged and appears to automatically believe all allegations. They need to adopt a bit more common sense and judgement. I wonder if they are allowed to ?
Good post. Yvette Cooper (apologise for using such language) said that "17,000 suspects rapists are being let off". Usually due process means that if there is evidence it goes to court if not then it is "no crimed". Plod = useless.
Some mistake, surely .. oughtn't that to actually read
"A Scrubber who claimed she was sexually assaulted after a night out has been cautioned after admitting she made it up"
Ah he's back on his favourite hobby horse. Why are you so obsessed with this subject Ciaran?Been convicted or accused?
Some people are convincing liars Julia.I wish I had a crystal ball to see into the future when reporting crimes.I would love to tell someone they are lying when I think they are but I don't just in case i'm wrong.
All down to perception, but in my time in the job i would say about 50% were false complaints. Feminists don't like it so it gets hidden away.
It's not that allwomen or 50% are liars, just that a fair number suffer mental health problems or are going through emotional crises.
If you are caught in a car that doesn't belong to you just after it is stolen you are limited in your avenues of excuses.
Man and woman meet up drunk, have sex, the woman doesn't like it the next morning and you are a rapist, because we need a good conviction rate.
Man and woman meet up sober have sex, the next day her boyfriend finds out along with her family....well sometimes the pressure means a cry of rape. It then boils down to one word against another and if there is no conviction...well i guess it gives that fair-minded individual called Ciaran to shout that 'plod are useless'. Bless you
Would be ironic if you had a false allegation Ciaran....i'm sure you would be happy to do time not to let Yvette Cooper down.
I accidentally fucked my boyfriends sister i think.
We were visiting his parents. His sister is the same age as me (22) but still lives with them. He's always had issues with his sister. She's gay (he hasnt had issues with that) and pretty spoiled by their parents (thats what he has issues with).
Yeah. I was in a fuck load of shock as it happened so quickly. I didn't kiss her back or touch her back.. she just.. got me against that wall. I dont know.
Another thing about it is this. We heard him come back through the front door and she was still fingering me. When she heard the door go, she didnt stop. She carried on faster and I actually had an orgasm from it. I like to think she wouldve stopped if she heard him on the stairs even if I didnt orgasm though.. but I did and thats when she stopped. Then she smiled and walked out before he came up the stairs. She didn't seem upset at all.. I'm kind of wondering, due to this, whether she used me somehow because she hates her brother as much as he hates her and whether she wanted to get caught?
I'm still in shock, kinda.. we're home now. She didn't act awkward around me at all for the rest of the stay but I certainly felt awkward. Do I tell him? I didnt want that. I didnt stop her but I didnt want it at all. She didnt FORCE me but she was forceful, if you know what I mean. Eurgh, advice?
@ Misty ..
"advice ?" ..
Yes .. here are a couple of suggestions for you ..
1 .... Avoid eating cheese before going to sleep at night and you won't have those awful dreams ..
2 .... Get someone to teach you correct grammar and punctuation, then try to break into the Rug-munching, Bean-flicking porn market ..
No .. don't bother thanking me .. you're more than welcome .. ;)
I don't know what gets my goat the most the liars who make false accusations or the hypocritical feminists whom we then never hear a peep from.
We have been facing the propaganda of the feminists so long now that we, well the establishment anyway, seem to believe their guff. You know women are better than men, they never lie, they never do wrong and if they're caught doing so it was because some man forced them.
Consider how it would be treated if I, as a man, falsely accused a woman of some equivalently serious crime (difficult since it is seen as being the equal, if not worse, than murder by some). Firstly there would be the automatic assumption of innocence until guilt is proven. Then after no evidence, or evidence against it, is produced I would face serious penalties for the distress and damage caused.
With men the opposite is true. The accused is guilty until proven innocent. No evidence needs to be produced to warrant damaging investigations and actions, just an allegation by a woman. And when found to be malicious (and just what else would you call the attempt to destroy someones life for sport/as an excuse/to score points?) Yep, they get 'tea and sympathy'.
As a nurse I have had to look after the victims of real, violent stranger rapes. The destruction done to these ladies is beyond belief. I favour castration for those found guilty of this crime. To equate 'Shaz getting pissed, sleeping with Trev and regretting it in the morning coz she doesn't want to look like the slapper she is' is a crime that should face a punishment worthy of fear (and it should be the supposed feminists calling for it).
What do we hear from the feminists? Nary a sound.
Agree with the first comment. Its got to be higher than 3pc. Not sure its as high as 30pc, but 3pc number is a joke.
"...but I wouldn't mind betting that nearer 30% of reported rapes are false. Possibly more."
I've long thought a form of 'degree' of rape needs to be introduced, with lesser sentences for the 'manslaughter' equivalent. But could you imagine the feminist reaction?
"But what gets my goat is the fact that Mr Plod becomes Mr Gullible when rape is alleged..."
Only at first. It seems many then check out the story, and there's a move afoot by the feminists to stop that happening!
"Some mistake, surely .. oughtn't that to actually read..."
Yes. ;)
"It's not that allwomen or 50% are liars, just that a fair number suffer mental health problems or are going through emotional crises."
And this is a very easy crime to allege.
"... or the hypocritical feminists whom we then never hear a peep from."
Oh, but we do hear from them - they pop up to tell us how rare it is!
"To equate 'Shaz getting pissed, sleeping with Trev and regretting it in the morning coz she doesn't want to look like the slapper she is' is a crime that should face a punishment worthy of fear (and it should be the supposed feminists calling for it)."
Spot on!
Much of what is termed rape is in fact buyers remorse (US quote).
We haven't had one of these for ages, I do keep a look out for them just in case.
