"Let's hope this gets resolved before something really bad happens."

Something 'really bad' has already happened, love, though being a vegetarian, you probably don't comprehend this:
One walker said she hoped the sign was not genuine as it was off-putting for responsible dog owners.
Jane Winterburn said: "I understand that it's not right for anyone's livestock to be terrorised, I'm a vegetarian so I'm all for animal rights however there has to be a better way to resolve this.
"The very top path of the woods backs straight on to farming land and fields and the access into here is ridiculously easy."
So what's your suggestion?

Perhaps a lead should be put on the vegitarian, she may "get it" then.

We were always told by my dad that our dog should always be kept on a lead near livestock out of respect for the farmers whose land we were on, and to remove the possibility of our much loved pet being shot. But then, we taught Jodie to walk to heel and she was perfectly comfortable on the lead even whilst in the open space. We wouldn't have felt 'threatened' by that sign - we would have felt bad about the lambs who had been killed and mused that at least our dog wasn't going to get shot. That seems to me what a responsible dog owner should think, not 'OH NOES! WHO WILL SAVE US FROM THE EEVIL FARMERS?'

Rather worrying that the tweet they quote saying "I hope this isn't genuine" is from someone claiming to be a solicitor.

As someone versed in law, they should already be aware that it is written into law that a farmer may, under certain circumstances, shoot any dog worrying livestock.

Why would any responsible dog-owner object? It's a clear warning, well within the farmer's rights, and if the dog is on a lead there's no problem.

Bunny

It isn't difficult to put your dog on a lead.

13 lambs dead and 23 injured yet some daft bimbo says, "Let's hope this gets resolved before something really bad happens."

I think that boat has already sailed.

No sensible person would.

Probably qualified at some third-rate 'university'...

"It isn't difficult to put your dog on a lead."

The same people probably let their children run around supermarkets screaming at the tops of their lungs.
