"We don't need any tension..."

Funny, I thought they'd all decided they wanted people to report guideline-breakers..?

I wonder why they suddenly decided they don't?

Give a pillock a uniform: get a uniform with a pillock in it.

Give the police the respect they deserve: make the police deserve the respect they want.

So what we have here are the police threatening someone with police action for not breaking the law, because he reported other people who were breaking the law. Let's give these coppers the benefit of the doubt and assume, for argument's sake that they are reluctantly acting on orders from above. At what point do you say to yourself 'I'm not doing this anymore' and resign and find another job?

I know from personal experience and from the accounts of other public speakers and reporters, that West Yorks police suppress unwelcome facts, specific news items and citizens' (limited) freedom of expression on certain topics. Plod intimidate with threats of arrest (as we clearly see from this video of West Yorks in action), threaten physical violence and sometimes provoke reactions to 'justify' arrests. Citizens having the temerity to publicly expose West Yorks police corruption and cover-ups; those who regularly campaign for police reform, together with taxpayers who are critical of local government failures; all quickly become West Yorks police TARGETS with a 'local' file to which only local police are privy, other than any official record that may or may not be, kept on the Police National Computer.

As an outspoken citizen, I have been the recipient of a variety of threats and actions from West Yorks police, ranging from the puerile "Don't let us see you drop a piece of orange peel" to actual attempts of 'fitting-up' on fabricated race-hate charges. Attempts which I am happy to say, made utter fools of conspiratory plod and CPS, once their shambolic stories and fabricated evidence were heard by a Huddersfield District Judge. The Judge summarily dismissed those actions and censored both police and CPS with some memorable words as he looked down on the CPS prosecutor "I doubt if these actions would have succeeded had they been brought in the County Court".

Attempts to intimidate or pervert the course of Justice by West Yorks plod, are common daily occurrences in this region...but for some of their innocent victims, they can often amount to life-changing injustices. So whilst I shouldn't laugh at any attempts by corrupt police to silence their critics, I couldn't help myself as I left the court building that afternoon.

But 'their' will be other days and further opportunities for corrupt and lying West Yorks plod to silence me, nicht wahr?

North Yorkshire Police ... gatherings of people with certain characteristics ... what on Earth could this mean? Surely not another example of two tier policing for the "sake of community cohesion"?

Did all that really happen Melvin or was it a figment of your over-active imagination? Cabin fever kicking in? Please post a link on here so we can all read the rulings in your favour. I'm sure they would have been extensively reported as you are such a local personality.

You may continue to ask me any question, on this blog...or interrogate me during a traffic stop, WC Jaded. Should you be overcome with a desire to see the contents of my car boot after I have completed essential shopping, you may also ask permission to make a full search of my vehicle.

Be assured of consistency in my responses, dear.

Yes Melvin you are very consistent. You won't answer my question because you can't. These things never happened.
Don't forget to reply in Latin to impress us mere plebs.

"...make the police deserve the respect they want."

The issue appears to be that they don't want that respect from us any longer. They want it from....whom?

"Let's give these coppers the benefit of the doubt and assume, for argument's sake that they are reluctantly acting on orders from above."

I think the 'I'm just obeying orders' bit has been tried before...
