I'm left wondering what this Yorkie has done to warrant being seized by the police. Is it a dangerous dog that has attacked someone in the street? Why have they gone above and beyond to deal with this one when the usual tattooed tharg with a pitbull generally gets a shrug of indifference?
I rather like ‘Bettering Ram’ as a term for the sort of bossy health worker (usually female, frequently large) who liberally dispenses unwanted advice - an example would be the hospital dietician who plonked herself down at the hospital bedside of a friend and, without bothering to ask about his lifestyle, immediately ordered him to cut down on meat consumption and take more exercise.
"Why have they gone above and beyond to deal with this one when the usual tattooed tharg with a pitbull generally gets a shrug of indifference?"
It's not a danger at all - the story indicates it's more of a property dispute, with another person claiming the dog is hers. Still a puzzle why the police went in like gangbusters, though...

Yes, absolutely! 😂
"Perhaps the property was improved as a result of its use, hence the term 'bettering ram'."
