Why Don't Our Police Take The Advice Of Marshal Raylan Givens?

...and just take 'no interest in shitkicker-on-shitkicker crime..?' Wouldn't it save the police a lot of time and trouble?

In the red corner: Adam Platt, who
...attacked Martin with a knife in the street after violently losing his temper over the Hyatt family's noisy pets.
In the blue corner: Martin Hyatt whose family
...have Staffordshire bull terrier Zeus and collie cross Zack – had clashed a number of times with 30-year-old Platt over their dogs since moving to Causeley Road, Bucknall, in 2011.
Anyone thinking they might have a bit of sympathy with the attackee rather than the driven-out-of-his-mind attacker should take a good look at the details:
Martin, who lives with wife Suzanne, is father to three children and stepfather to three more.
It's a wonder he has any time to walk poor Zeus and Zack, isn't it?
Suzanne, aged 39, said: "When I saw Martin had been stabbed I just started panicking.
"There was blood all over the floor. It was shocking. You just don't expect your nextdoor neighbour to do something like this."
Really, Suzanne? Really..?

Comments, as ever, are a pure delight! Especially when someone calling herself 'suziehyatt' joins in:
“just to set the record straight,i am mrs hyatt and that night my dogs wasnt barking it was our other neighbours dogs and they do not constanly bark, they are well behaved dogs,we have put up with **** off that nutter next door and his children, throwing glass bottles into our garden for our dogs to hurt themselfs we got up one morning to a shredded can on our childrens trampoline,oh and spudder who ever you are martyn has never been in prison so get you facts right before you make coments like that, and adam plant has been arrested before over carrying a knife but was never convicted and also other things but never convicted, our son saw his dad get stabbed that night and he still has nightmares about it oh he isnt no chav or is my husband,so what they had their stoke shirts on,so everybody that wears a football shirt is a chav then...”

Christ, It's April 1st Already?!?

I mean, it must be. Right?
Gangs are being given lifesaving first aid lessons so they can help victims of attacks.
What do they mean, 'attacks'? Dangerous dog attacks? Terrorist attacks? Angry swarm of killer bee attacks? Surely they can't mean...

Oh. But it seems they do:
The Street-Doctors group says that gang members who see others injured want to help but panic and flee. The pioneering group believes that they can equip them with skills to help prevent victims from dying.
Sorry to be so blunt, but...why should we care?

Frankly, if they all kill each other off, the world in general, and London in particular, will be a better place for it.
Dr Rhead said: 'It's part of everyday gang culture to stab someone in the back of the knee or the arm,' The Daily Star reported.
'They don’t realise they can kill someone like that.'
I say, give 'em anatomy lessons, so they hit an artery every damn time!

*Looks Up 'Dynamic' In Dictionary*

Back on the 4th Feb:
Police said a woman, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was found suffering from gunshot wounds just before 11pm on Sunday. Officers were today hunting two men who were in the house at the time who are thought to have fled the area.
A 27 year-old man, who also cannot be named, has been arrested in connection with the shooting.
The pair were seen fleeing the semi-detached house in Hinckley, Leics., in a dark coloured car.
Curious. Those same 'legal reasons' also prevented the street itself from being named.

Oh, and no speculation as to why this should happen, either!
Potential reasons for the shooting also cannot be reported.
Curious...
The occupier of the house is thought to have separated from his pregnant girlfriend in the days before the shooting.
She arrived at the scene with a friend and spoke briefly to reporters today.
The 20-year-old, who declined to give her name, or her boyfriend's, said: "We had a little argument and I moved out.
"We're separated at the moment. The first thing I heard about something happening was when my friend called me. I don't know who the person who shot was, and I haven't heard from my boyfriend. No one will tell me what is happening."
Well, today, all is (sort of) revealed:
A family has paid tribute to a "devoted" mother-of-two who was shot dead in a house last weekend. Hayley Pointon's body was found in a house in Sunnydale Road, Hinckley, on Sunday night.
Hmmmm. Could the news blackout just have been because they were waiting to inform the next of kin? It's possible, but I've never seen this level of secrecy before.

Oh. Wait! What about those arrests?
Police said the murder investigation was continuing.
Two men, aged 29 and 36, who were arrested in connection with the incident earlier this week have been released on police bail pending further inquiries.
A 27-year-old man who was arrested at the scene of the shooting has been released without charge.
Oh. So the 'turn up and arrest everyone in sight' tactic didn't work? Again?
Detective Superintendent Tom Davies, from East Midlands Major Crime Unit, said: "This continues to be a dynamic investigation and we're still seeking the assistance of the public with any information about this incident."
Well, I think you've used rather the wrong word there, and I'm not sure how the public are supposed to help if you can't tell them what, where or who....

Once Again, I'm Reminded...

...that some people have a different definition of 'tragedy' than I do:
A jury has returned a verdict of misadventure at the inquest of a man who hanged himself at a young offenders' institute as he feared deportation back to Nigeria.
To the usual suspects, this is a failure of the state to care for him. Of course.

I wonder if his English was as poor as that of the prison doctor?
Dr John Grenville, who carried out a review of the death, told the inquest: "Even under continuous supervision his chance of carrying out suicide would have remained high.
"In my opinion, the healthcare teams recognised that Mr Balogan was a vulnerable man and affected him with what help and support they could."
Wha..?

Given the state of the NHS currently, is that all too prescient a statement?

It's The Blame Game - Pt II!

Complete flake with dodgy background history kills herself after aquittal of accused on most serious charges, and who is to blame?

Is it Greater Manchester Police?
Mrs Andrade’s family told how one of the key failings by the criminal justice system had been a warning by police that she should not seek counselling to cope with the trauma of going to court, a decision which they felt was particularly damaging because of her history of self-harm.
Last night Greater Manchester Police, which investigated the crimes committed against Mrs Andrade, sought to distance itself from the decision.
Is it Surrey Police?
It blamed Surrey Police, the victim’s local force, for giving what her family described as “heavy advice” not to seek psychological help during the two years running up to the trial.
The Surrey force declined to comment.
Is it the CPS?
The victim’s family, from Guildford, Surrey, said she had been reluctant to give evidence but had felt pressurised by the police. They also criticised the CPS for failing to support her properly in the run-up to the trial, and disclosed a catalogue of mistakes and omissions in the way the vulnerable witness had been treated by the criminal justice system.
Is it the entire justice system?
Jo Wood, a trustee of Rape Crisis, said: “Frances Andrade could have had the support she needed and we feel absolute despair that she did not receive it. But she was just thrown to the wolves.
“She was just treated, it seems, as if she was a piece of evidence or a crime scene, and nothing else."
Is it everybody except the feminist whackjobs that insist a woman must always be believed no matter what and that no case, no matter how flimsy or historic, must be left unpursued?
Yvette Cooper, the shadow home secretary, said: “There must be an urgent investigation into the handling of this case from start to finish. Although the details are still emerging, it looks as though something went badly wrong.”
So long as they don't look too closely at the part you and Harriet Harman and Vera Baird played to see this policy through all strands of the justice system, eh?

Enough With Horses! Back To Foxes!

I really don't know how they keep a bloody straight face when they come out with stuff like this:
Another source told The Mail on Sunday: ‘The boy is recovering well but his hand was pretty mangled.
‘If there is a message to come out of this, it’s that foxes are a major public health issue.
‘People should really be talking to the authorities about this – they need to be harangued about what should be done because this is another horrific fox attack.’
Really? Let's see, a couple of attacks (some highly dubious) causing minor injuries vs  how many dead in the NHS hospital scandal? And how many more to come?

And yet, it's the foxes that should be a 'major public health concern'? The one we should be writing to our MP about?

Pull the other one!

How'd it gain access, anyway?
The fox had crept into the house through an open back door, which was apparently awaiting repair by the council.
*stunned silence*
...she fought desperately to release him, repeatedly kicking the fox until it eventually let go.
Really? Never seen a fox yet that didn't run like a rabbit the minute someone raised their voice. Apart, that is, from the Maneaters of Richmond...
A spokesman said: ‘Police were called by staff at St Thomas’ to reports of a baby boy admitted after being attacked by a fox.’
The family didn't call the police? The hospital did..?

Something stinks to high heaven about this story.

"...'ole in the ground, so big an' sort o' round..."

Oooh, you're not kidding!

Police were called to the rush hour incident in Whalley Range, Manchester, at 7.15am. The road was closed while fire crews winched the car out.
Luckily, the driver escaped without injury. Alarmed witnesses said that firefighters were reluctant to get too close to the car in case more of the road surface gave way.
Meanwhile, in Norfolk:

That's a better approach than the one taken by Dorset council, I must say....

It's The Blame Game!

The 'Mail' thinks it's the police:
Nicola Edgington, 32, begged the operator: 'I need to go to a mental hospital. I need the police to come now. I done a murder five years ago'.
But with her cries for help ignored, later that day she attacked and killed Sally Hodkin, slashing her neck with a stolen 12in butcher’s knife with such force that the 58-year-old was almost beheaded.
The psychiatric patient dailled (sic) 999 from the waiting room of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Woolwich, south-east London, but after sitting alone for several hours having also warned nurses she was dangerous, she just walked out and murdered an innocent woman.
The BBC seems to think it's the former boyfriend and the brother:
Following the previous case, she was ordered to be detained indefinitely under the Mental Health Act for killing her mother Marion, 60, the previous year. However, she was released and allowed to live in the community in 2009 where she had been monitored by a doctor, nurse and social worker.
The court heard that in the weeks leading up to the attack, Edgington had a miscarriage and had received abusive messages from a former boyfriend. She also tried to reconcile with her brother who she had not seen since their mother's death, however in response, he told her to kill herself.
The Guardian, curiously, doesn't seem to have decided who was to blame yet:
Edgington, of Greenwich, south-east London, was found guilty of murder and attempted murder by a jury at the Old Bailey.
The prosecution said she was suffering from a borderline personality disorder and her actions were deliberate.
But the defence argued that she was mentally ill with schizophrenia and her responsibility was diminished.
No-one (other than the family) is pointing the finger at the 'Care in the Community' concept itself. Strange, that...

I Didn't Think 'Authorisation' Was Necessary To Drive To The Seaside..?

A legal bid is being launched to stop more than 1,000 boy racers descending on Southend.
Southend Council is seeking an injunction to prevent the cruisers attending a rally planned for Marine Parade, Southend, on February 9.
Oh, really?  And...why? What harm do they do?

Isn't it for the police to deal with any infractions of the law?
Sgt Ian Hughes, of Southend police, said: “Essex Police are working closely with Southend Council in order to obtain an injunction preventing the cruise going ahead.
“Police have a number of resources on standby on the day to address the potential volume of vehicles coming to Southend on February 9 if the injunction is successful or not.”
Ah. Of course. They are in favour. Surprising? No. Why would it ne?
Southend Council’s Chief Executive, Rob Tinlin said: “We are currently in discussions with Essex Police and exploring all options - including the possibility of seeking an injunction, to tackle the issue of an unauthorised large scale cruiser event anticipated to take place in Southend.”
There seems to be quite a double standard here, as is pointed out in the comments:
MISSZC says...
I'm confused....??? Do they do this for the Bank Holiday Motorbike Event? No. Do they do this for the Black Cabs event? No. Can't understand why it's such a problem as local businesses benefit from these events.
FYI it's not just 'BOY' racers, they are actually a fraction of the people that attend these events. It's more car enthusiasts and beleive it or not women and families that attend! SC should embrace it, maybe the few problems there are (no more than at SC approved events) could be prevented by coorperation from local authorities. Just a thought!
From a 'GIRL' car enthusiast.
