"The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere the ceremony of innocence is drowned;"

One source with knowledge of proceedings says the bid to prevent the four Asian men contacting Child G was dropped because Rotherham’s legal team discovered, as they were walking into court, that the council’s request wouldn’t be supported by South Yorkshire Police.
‘Quite why the council’s in-house solicitors never bothered to speak about this with their colleagues from the police until moments before they turned up in court, I will never know,’ the source says.
Quite. The whole thing stinks. Time Amber Rudd cleaned her Augean stables:
A National Crime Agency operation, Operation Stovewood, expected to run for around eight years and costing £30 million, is pursuing 91 offences involving 82 victims.
A total of 69 officers were said to be on the inquiry this summer, with funding for another 48 approved by the Home Office. Their work is supposed to ensure that girls in Britain never suffer at the hands of such evil men again. Yet vulnerable teenagers are still finding themselves in the sights of Rotherham’s vile gangs.
And this week’s court case shows that, despite everything that has happened, the local authorities would appear to be far better at gagging the Press than they are at protecting innocent victims such as Child G.
Well, at least our press isn't in collusion with the agenda, unlike the German press, as Farenheit211 reveals...

When a person or a body of people are convinced about their own righteousness which is subsequently shown to be erroneous admission of that fact will not be easily elicited. A lesson South Yorkshire police and social services are teaching us. In fact it will cause indignation and actions not to correct but to hinder further scrutiny and deflect criticism which leads to bizarre and perverse responses exacerbating an already reprehensible situation.

In the end allowing odious practices, which should be scrupulously policed and those responsible for those practices to be appropriately punished, to continue unchecked. Apart from a few most will escape both proper scrutiny and/or punishment. So once again demonstrating that the law does not treat us all equally if it interferes with ideological beliefs, entitlements and privileges. In the Rotheram case multiculturalism, diversity and woefully bad policing practices have conspired to undermine the rule of law. The result. Vulnerable children who have not received protection in the past are unlikely to receive much in the future.

"I am from the government and I am here to help" as Reagan said are the most erroneous words in the English language have been proven to be true yet again.

I don’t think South Yorkshire Police are 'convinced about their own righteousness' so much as they are running scared of the Leftist Establishment. The police were insanely savaged about Hillsborough and not a soul came to their defence. Now they know who their real masters are and they act accordingly.

As a Police officer, I was told that crime, and criminals, were to be treated as if I was colour blind. They commit a crime, they get arrested and dealt with through the courts, irrespective of their race, religion or creed. I retired long ago but still have an affection for a profession I served in for so long. However, I am ashamed to have worn the same type of uniform as those in South Yorkshire Police. The majority of officers, ordinary coppers, would probably like nothing better than to put these people behind bars once the evidence allows that. The problems appear to stem from the SJW on the upper floors - those who dictate the policies and procedures - followijng their own politically correct agendas, possibly pressured by the 'partnership' agencies such as Social Services scared of their own failings being made known and the various councils infiltrated by the sdame type of people as the offenders. I do believe that now is the time that the Home Secretary declared that elements of that force to be unfit for purpose, have a really good clear out, starting at the top, and start again.

Yes, I wonder whether the very small majority for Cameron's replacement reflects the level of disgust at his cowardice at not speaking out on issues like that and for instance the London riots in 2011 (?) where he supinely agreed that the police had done a good job (ha!). Hillsborough seems to have substituted one cover up for another.

It's impossible to read that Daily Mail article without a tear and blood turning to ice. The animals guilty of the abuse are only doing what such vermin do. Their protectors in local government, services and the police are guilty of a far worse crime. I weep for, and fear for the future of civilisation, if this continues we are doomed.

Collaboration for what end?

"...actions not to correct but to hinder further scrutiny and deflect criticism..."

*sighs* It does seem to be the first page of the PR playbook, doesn't it? Despite the fact it hardly ever works...

"The police were insanely savaged about Hillsborough and not a soul came to their defence. Now they know who their real masters are and they act accordingly."

Time they had new masters.

"I do believe that now is the time that the Home Secretary declared that elements of that force to be unfit for purpose, have a really good clear out, starting at the top, and start again. "

May never had the balls, and she was probably the only modern Tory of whom we can say that!

"The animals guilty of the abuse are only doing what such vermin do. Their protectors in local government, services and the police are guilty of a far worse crime."

So very true.
