Anyone Would Think It Was Winter...

Oh, wait. It is, isn't it?

Health chiefs have issued a level three cold alert due to the 'severe winter weather' and have urged the public to check on vulnerable friends and family in the coming days.
Later in the week the mercury could drop as low as -11C, sparking the UK Health and Security Agency (UKHSA) to issue a warning over the cold. The Government agency urged people to wear several thin layers and consume plenty of hot drinks if they're feeling the chill in the coming days...

I presume the only reason they aren't urging us to suck eggs is because of bird flu...

'Wrap up warmly, it's a bit chilly', advice by Nanny to the elderly.

When did we ever need to be told the bloody obvious? Are yer modern yoof so stupid and ignorant that they need such advice?

No, the problem is journos and politicians, really stupid people who nevertheless consider themselves to be far far cleverer than the rest of us.

Something else that can't be emphasised enough, whatever happened to snow in England being a thing of the past? The whole justification for the economic suicide that is net zero is based on the advice of climate scientists who have been consistently wrong for more than three decades. This needs to be pointed out over and over until our intellectual superiors catch on.

This reminded me of a headline recently stating that there is a "Yellow Snow Warning". As Frank Zappa warned those trudging across the tundra, don't go where the huskies go.

It's to avoid claims from Shaznay that no one from the government told her not to let Rhianna Bianca Eki-Su play in the snow wearing shorts and a vest, so it's the government's fault she froze to death, and she deserves compo for the loss of her little benefit earner, sorry, precious fruit of her loins.

I think it's a cumulate effect of

- the 27 yr old know-nothing 'journalists' who actually believe the world only began when they were born;
- the increasing attempt to further 'Americanise' us (where they have reasonable reason to report/name a series of storms that may literally destroy homes and States, temperatures in the negative tens ... Fahrenheit, or snow-falls of 6 feet plus 'a day' - our 'a little windy', 'may reach zero Celsius' or a 'few flakes on the hill tops' looks even more ridiculous in comparison).

But ... mainly it's the desperate need to 'dramatise' everything, to make it news-worthy and scare the sheep (otherwise they may begin thinking, and asking 'uncomfortable' questions. Or 'Marx forbid' start being independent and self-reliant and not need 'Nanny-state' to rule them. And where will a know-nothing journalism-major, with expensive tastes, get a job if 'that' happens?).

Rhetorical question, Ed?

"...whatever happened to snow in England being a thing of the past? "

Well, quite! That desert garden I was advised to plant for the hot summers to come has all rotted in the ground too..

"This reminded me of a headline recently stating that there is a "Yellow Snow Warning"."

Lol!

"...mainly it's the desperate need to 'dramatise' everything, to make it news-worthy and scare the sheep"

Indeed!

"In the outer hebredes at 04:00 in the morning, for about an hour"

Where no one with any sense lives!
