Nowhere IS Safe In London...

Reform UK’s London mayoral contender Laila Cunningham has told how her children are “petrified” of going to Shepherd’s Bush after a fatal stabbing there.
The mother-of-seven launched fresh criticism of Sir Sadiq Khan’s record on crime after recent shootings and stabbings in the capital including the murder of a bus driver in Clapham.
“My heart goes out to the family of the person killed in Shepherd’s Bush...and to those injured. In a matter of seconds, families’ lives are changed forever,” she posted on X.“My own kids swim in Shepherd’s Bush. They’re now petrified of going there. And as their mum so am I. “We were there last weekend. It increasingly feels like nowhere is safe.

Nowhere is, but your children don't really fit the demographic in most danger from stabbing attack, do they?

“Week after week it’s another stabbing, another shooting, another family getting the phone call every parent dreads.”
“Sadiq Khan can keep telling us London is safe, but that means very little to families living with this fear,” she added.

Most of the families getting this call will only be surprised their spawn is a victim instead of a wanted perpetrator.

But Sir Sadiq has rejected claims of a “lawless London” with high numbers of shootings and stabbings.

That's the Labour way - flat out denial of what the public can see with their own eyes.

Earlier this week, he hit out at Donald Trump and Nigel Farage’s Reform UK who have sought to argue that the capital is plagued by crime.
He posted on X: “The loudest voices online aren't always the most accurate.
“New data shows our homicide rate is lower than every US state, while murder rates are at record lows.

Because our figures are massaged by Labour's liars, perchance? Still at least our cops aren't shooting donkeys, just running over cows. I'm not sure what's better, frankly.

“The evidence is clear: our approach to tackling crime and its causes works. It’s driving down violence right across the capital.”

But then along came Carnival...

Priorities...

A mob of youths torched several cars and set off fireworks at a balloon release for one of the A66 crash gang last night.
At least five cars were set ablaze in a horse field near Haswell, County Durham, with the startled animals looking on from the far side. The site was around 15 miles from Middlesbrough, where a wave of violence believed to be linked to the crash and local organised crime has forced police to draft in hundreds of reinforcements.
The Daily Mail understands that the County Durham and Darlington Fire Service responded to the incident.

But not the police? Why did they not arrests these youth, who have kiiled two police officers with their antics? Surely they'd be given the support of the highest office in the land to do so....

Oh.

Andy Burnham labels cowboy builders 'crooks' who 'destroy lives'
and vows to put them out of business.'They're crooks - and it's about time we treated them like it. So, today, we're putting the cowboys out of business.'

Maybe not, since our already-failing PM seems to think this should be a priority instead.

Quite A Feat, When There's No Official Crime And Never Will Be

At least five victims of the former Harrods owner Mohamed Al Fayed have been confirmed by the Home Office as victims of human trafficking.

Does the word ‘official’ mean nothing any more?

A group of survivors of abuse by the deceased businessman had called for the Metropolitan police to make trafficking the main focus of its investigation, arguing that Fayed could not have committed his offences without a steady stream of women sent to him by associates.

What offences are those?  He’s never been convicted of any, and never will be!

The women were victims of international and domestic trafficking, and one survivor told the Press Association (PA) they were recruited to a false role within Harrods. Two further victims were hired for a legitimate role and then selected from the shop floor for abuse.

’Alleged’ abuse.

Officers are looking into who may have facilitated Fayed’s crimes, in an investigation known as Operation Cornpoppy. Four people have been questioned to date, 21 months after the investigation opened.
One survivor, known as Justine, told PA she felt “shellshocked” when she received the conclusive grounds decision in June that she had been a victim of modern slavery. She added: “But it’s a really significant thing, getting that decision, seeing it in writing that you were a victim of modern slavery and trafficking is very … it’s really shocking to read.”

But very useful for later claiming all the compo going, I’ll bet! And no, Reader, it won’t be just Fayed’s business empire they and their lawyers seek to raid, it’ll be the taxpayer too:

Victims have previously complained of how the Metropolitan police have handled the investigations into Fayed’s abuse. The Independent Office for Police Conduct is examining complaints about the force’s handling of allegations between 2018 and 2024.

The lawyers must be congratulating themselves on the Home Office’s stupidity… if it IS Stupidity and not malice.
