Some Families Are Just Dysfunctional...

A Waitrose employee of 17 years has described his devastation after being sacked for stopping a shoplifter who had ransacked a display of Lindt Gold Bunny Easter eggs.

Not for punching the thief to the floor, just stopping him escaping with the loot... 

He was told off by his manager and apologised but the matter was escalated. Smith said he was previously told not to approach shoplifters but the toll of seeing them get away with theft repeatedly spurred him into action.

As it would any normal human being, but clearly, Waitrose doesn't want normal human beings working for them. 

After a few days, Walker was hauled into a meeting with two store managers. “I had a feeling about what was going to happen,” he said. He made a final plea, telling his bosses “Waitrose is like my family” but he was still dismissed.

And like some families, the Matriarch or Patriach is an arsehole. 

He had recently moved into his own studio flat after living with flatmates for 25 years, before being sacked. He worries about how he will keep a roof over his head. “I’m not too sure what’s going to happen with this place now. I might be homeless. My confidence is on the floor right now,” he said.

This is such an inversion of justice that even I'm shocked! 

A Waitrose spokesperson said: “We take the safety and security of our customers and our partners incredibly seriously and to do this we have policies in place which our partners are aware of and required to follow.”

How about you take the social contract incredibly seriously instead, and make sure crime doesn’t pay, while crime fighting pays well? 

If It Was Up To The CPS, You Wouldn't Even Know Their Names...

That thing that 'never happens' according to the left-wingers and the delusional refugee=coddlers has happened again:

Afghans Jan Jahanzeb and Israr Niazal, both 17, had arrived only months earlier in small boats before assaulting the 15-year-old in a park on May 10.

Phone footage captured by the victim was so appalling that even one of the boy's own barristers warned it would lead to 'disorder' if 'the general public were exposed' to it.

No wonder the bleeding hearts are getting worried.

In the distressing three-minute clip, the girl could be heard crying 'you're going to rape me' as she was dragged away from where she had been drinking with friends in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire. The footage, played at Warwick Crown Court yesterday, also showed her weeping, screaming 'help' and begging not to be taken to the park.She was forced to perform a sex act on the boys in a secluded area, before she escaped and filmed more clips describing her ordeal. The girl was eventually found by a passer-by who took her to a nearby police station, where officers were able to obtain vital forensic evidence.

The CPS didn't want to name them: 

Jailing Jahanzeb for ten years and eight months, and Niazal for nine years and ten months, Judge Sylvia de Bertodano also accepted a legal challenge mounted by the Daily Mail which means they can be named for the first time.

But don't start praising the judge just yet. You've yet to hear her true concern about the impsct of this crime... 

She said they had 'betrayed the interests' of genuine refugees and 'should feel a deep and lasting sense of shame'.

It takes a breathtaking lack of awareness to state this as a valid concern and a reason for shame, rather than considering the impact on the actual child victim, but we should welcome it as a true peek under the mask of the modern judiciary, and a reminder that their interests ans concerns are so often these days not those of the country, or thei fellow couyntrymen.

The asylum seekers were living in taxpayer-funded houses at the time of the attack, having arrived in the UK by small boats. The boys admitted the attack in October. Jahanze faces deportation, but Niazal does not, as he pleaded guilty a day before turning 17 – too young to qualify.

His barrister made the extraordinary suggestion this would allow the younger of the two rapists to 'make a life for himself in this country' when he is eventually released. The judge later confirmed during her sentencing that she would recommend that the Home Secretary considers deporting both Jahanzeb and Niazal.

If we really do see the back of this pair after they serve whatever of their sentence the Prison systems sees fit, no-one will be more surprised than me. After all, they weren't even remanded in custody after admitting thair crime.

Does 'Boss' Mean Something Different These Days?

Questions are urgently being asked over who is to blame for the proposed editing out of disabled children from school photos, with a boss of the photography firm at the centre of the scandal insisting 'it is not company policy.' Terence Tempest, 70, was unable to explain why parents had been given the option - as he vowed to investigate how the fiasco came to be.

Shouldn't he already know, if it's his company and he's a boss of it? Wouldn't he have tried to find out the moment this all blew up?

He revealed 'heartbroken' bosses were locked in crisis meetings to discover 'what the hell happened', and described the suggestion to delete children with complex needs from the class pictures as 'unacceptable'.

Clearly not, since someone at the company accepted the suggestion, or - worse - suggested it themselves! Maybe this company has too many 'bosses' to run properly?

'If I was in that position I would want an apology. I don't run the company and I'm in touch with the managing director at the moment and they will decide what to do.'

It sounds like he's the only one who decided to be the spokesperson, even though everything he says sounds like he's digging a deeper hole for the company... 

He said: 'I'm not sure what the current policy is frankly, it depends what we are asked to do. We just respond to what we are asked for.

'We have got another meeting coming up and will find out whether the photographer was asked to do it. Did they do it off their own back?'

If it turns out the school requested it, this is going to run and run.  

If You Fail To Uphold Law And Order...

Penny was questioned by the NYPD on Monday but was released without charge. The investigation is ongoing and it is likely that a grand jury will be impaneled to determined whether or not charges should be brought.

Anthony was originally booked on suspicion of murder the next day, but then released without charge after the District Attorney Brooke Jenkins said Anthony was in 'mortal danger' and 'acted in self-defense'.

The decision to drop the charges against Anthony has angered protestors and at a meeting of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors on Tuesday, activists held up signs reading 'Justice for Banko Brown'.

...don't be surprised when others step in and do it. 

Two different US cities, both beset by exactly the same issues; lack of action on lawlessness by the authorities. And tolerance of idiocy like this:

One protestor, who identified herself as Lia McGeever, erupted into a scream over the death of Brown. She said: 'I hate a lot of people on this board for the reasons that led up to Banko Brown's death.

'There's a lot of performative people on this board who will say one thing and support black people, homeless people, trans people, and then immediately stab you in the face — being racist, transphobic, anti-homeless.

'I don't have any words prepared today. I just want you to feel our pain.

'So, I am going to spend the next minute screaming cause that is what is going on in here. 'That is what the trans genocide in this country, in this city, has brought me to.'

That she wasn't immediately removed, that she was allowed to have her pointless little temper tantrum, is merely another symptom.
