Oh Noes! How Horrible! We Must Expand The Definition Of 'Racism' Immediately!

Brace yourself, Reader, guess what's 'racist' now?
A runner in the Great North Run says she was racially abused by a section of spectators.

What did they do? Thow bananas? Make monkey noises?

She said she noticed England flags while passing through a residential area before hearing people shout: "Protect our kids. Protect our England."

It's a race run in England, love. Why shouldn't they wave the country's flags? But back to the 'racism', because there must have been more than that, surely? And since our PM was running in this thing, it'll have been recorded.

"And as I went past them next to the roundabout, they booed me," Kirk-Odunubi said.

...

That's it? That's all?

She said it was her "worst experience" during a race and that "hate has no place in running".

Hate to break it to you, love, but you aren't owed anyone's cheers. And if this really is your worst experience then there's clearly no real problem with race relations in the UK - quick, someone tell the 'Guardian'!

"This is racism in a space where it should not be," Kirk-Odunubi told BBC Sport.

Give me a break! But of course, the race organisers are taking it seriously, instead of laughing this thin-skinned prima donna out of their offices and telling her to grow up.

A spokesperson said GNR was "shocked and saddened" by the incident. A statement read:
"We do not condone behaviour of this nature and we truly believe the event is for everyone.
"Over 200,000 people turned out in support. It's a real shame that a small subset have spoilt Emma's experience.
"We are in touch with Emma to understand more about what happened and will be passing on all information to the local police.

They should charge you with 'wasting police time'.

"We are working with local authorities and the emergency services to understand more about what has happened, and we will of course be taking learnings from this incident to try and mitigate this happening at future events."

What will you do, hire profressional cheerers to stand in the crowd, for the next time, to react when anyone black hoves in sight?

We Don't Need To Stop Women From Competing In Men's Sport...

Last month, the International Olympic Committee announced that transgender women athletes would be barred from competing in all Olympic events in the women’s category – but not the men’s events.

Well, that’s right, they are men, after all. No-one’s suggesting they not be allowed to compete at all, are they?

The new rules effectively redefine womanhood – but not manhood – as a novel and previously unrecognized category consisting only of those with a specific set of genetic prerequisites.

No, they aren’t doing any such thing, they are simply expecting women to compete with women and men with men, like it was before the madness of transgenderism spread across the globe like a plague.

To comply with this new requirement, women athletes – but not male ones – will be made to submit to genetic testing, to determine whether their womanhood meets the committee’s standards

Because women aren't trying to cheat their way into men's sport, you idiot!

The move comes as increased political and media attention to the issue of trans rights and visibility over the past years – along with pressure from the Trump administration – has led athletic federations to ban trans women from sports competitions, a demand that has largely not been made for transgender men in women’s or men’s sports.

See my last point!

Those who support the bans claim that testosterone, male puberty or male genetics confer an advantage in athletics, and that trans women must therefore be banned in order to preserve the integrity of women’s competitions. This sounds like the kind of argument someone could make without being unreasonably motivated by bigotry; the IOC, for instance, claims that its new ban is backed up by science and evidence.
It is, undeniably, as a fellow columnist points out.
This new insistence that a complicated scientific question is in fact a simple one – and that it is determinative and relevant only for women, and not for men – suggests that something other than a robust commitment to fairness is at play.

No, that's exactly what's at play here.

It is possible to approach the question of trans participation in sports in a way that respects the dignity and identity of trans athletes and grapples with this range of possibilities.

Dignity? Lady, a man whose decided to play dress-up in womanface so he can cheat at sports hasn't got any dignity to lose.

Women who are not dainty, who are not weak, who are not reticent or passive or demure, will now be accused of being men. They will be hounded, smeared and degraded in ways that arise from transphobia but redound, finally, to more old-fashioned forms of homophobia and misogyny.

No, they'll simply have to take a swab to prove they are women. Far less undignified than peeing in a cup, which they are used to doing for drug testing..

You Should Never Have Been Allowed To Compete In The First Place!

Noa-Lynn van Leuven will be banned from competing in any of the Professional Darts Corporation’s women-only events with immediate effect after a ruling from the sport’s regulatory body stated only biological females can now compete in women’s tournaments.

And he accepted this decisiuon with all the bad grace you'd expect:

Van Leuven responded on social media on Thursday afternoon, saying she had been “retired” by the decision. “I just got an email,” the 29-year-old said in a post on Instagram. “Apparently, I just got retired, not by choice, but because I am no longer allowed to compete.”

Untrue, you can still compete - in the men's tournaments.

“I have worked so damn hard for years just to get here. I showed up and I competed. I respected the sport every game and every single day.”

Liar. You competed as a woman, knowing full well you weren't one. The fault lies with those who didn't stop you, true, but you yourself bear at least half of the blame.

Expecting People To Exercise A Little Self-Control In 2026 - Is That Futile?

'I have a thing with the broadcast,' she said in her press conference shortly after the loss. 'I feel like certain moments - the same thing happened to Aryna (Sabalenka) after I played her in the final of the US Open - they don't need to be broadcast.

Well, don't do them then. Is that so hard?

'I tried to go somewhere where I thought there wasn't a camera, because I don't like breaking rackets. I broke one racket at the French Open and I said I would never do it again on court, because I don't feel like that's a good representation.

Well, you’re right, it isn’t. This isn’t the 70s anymore, we got over the John McEnroe era, and decided to push good sportsmanship instead.

'I went somewhere where I thought they wouldn't broadcast it, but obviously they did. Maybe some conversations can be had, because I feel like at this tournament the only private place we have is the locker room.'

So you're fully aware of how it looks, yet you can't possibly control yourself?

She was then asked about the benefits of letting her frustrations out on the racket, revealing it calmed down her emotions ahead of speaking to her team.
'Yeah, definitely,' she said. 'I think for me, I know myself. I don’t want to lash out on my team. They’re good people. They don’t deserve that. I know I’m emotional.
'I just took the minute to go and do that. I don’t think it’s a bad thing.'

Well, if you don't want people to see you do it, you clearly realise that it is.  Are you a moron?

She is world No 3 and despite her young age, has spoken confidently and passionately about various cultural and political controversies, always handling them delicately and professionally. Therefore, it came as a shock to see her red mist descend after the quarterfinal loss, which saw her dumped out at the hands of the 12th seed Svitolina.

Did it really?

And Exactly Who Are 'Those Who Seek To Divide Us'?

Israeli club Maccabi Tel Aviv say they will not accept any ticket allocation from Aston Villa should the decision to ban their supporters from next month's Europa League match be overturned.

They must be taking Oscar Wilde's advice and who can blame them?

A government spokesperson said: "We are deeply saddened Maccabi Tel Aviv have turned down their away fan allocation but we respect their right to do so." They added it was "completely unacceptable" that the match has been "weaponised to stoke violence and fear by those who seek to divide us".

Who was threatening violence then, chum? Who is this mysterious 'those' and why don't you simply tell the cops to crack dowwn on them?

Nandy said the matter was wider than matchday security, adding it came "against the backdrop of rising antisemitism here and across the world, and an attack on a synagogue in Manchester in which two innocent men were killed".

One of them by your undisciplined armed officers...

Well, You're The PM, What Do You Plan To Do About It?

Sir Keir Starmer called the move to block fans attending "wrong", adding "we will "not tolerate antisemitism on our streets", while there has also been criticism from other party leaders.

This is the decision to ban Israeli fans from attending a football match. Why? Well…

On Thursday, Aston Villa said the city's Safety Advisory Group (SAG) - which advises the council on whether to issue safety certificates - decided that fans of the Israeli club should not be permitted to attend the Europa League fixture on 6 November. On Friday evening the government said it would do "everything in our power" to make sure all fans could attend the match, adding that it was exploring what additional resources were required.

Why would additional resources be required, I mean, over and above those for any other football match? Could it be that there’s a sizeable population here in the UK that can’t be expected to control themselves whern Jews are on the streets being openly Jewish? Apart from the Met Police, that is?

We all know the real reason for this ban.

On Thursday, West Midlands Police said it had classified the fixture as "high risk" based on current intelligence and previous incidents, including "violent clashes and hate crime offences" between Ajax and Maccabi Tel Aviv fans before a match in Amsterdam in November 2024. More than 60 people were arrested over the violence, which city officials described as a "toxic combination of antisemitism, hooliganism, and anger" over the war in Gaza, Israel and elsewhere in the Middle East.

How many of those 60 people were Israeli fans? Or doesn’t that even matter to plod who want a quiet life?

Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch said the revelation left the Home Secretary, Shabana Mahmood, with "serious questions to answer" about why her department did "nothing" to avert the ban. She said: "This is a weak government that fails to act when required."

Well, you should know, I guess, Kemi....

A source close to Mahmood told the BBC that "this is categorically untrue".

Then call your dogs to heel. Unless secretly, you agree with the action they've taken.

Dilemma For The Progressives...

Yay, Diversity!
Fundi embodies the growing involvement of black Kenyans in horse racing, changing perceptions of a sport that has been synonymous with the country’s white minority since the British colonial era. “Growing up, that was a sport for other people, not me,” said Muturi Mutuota, who, like many other children in Nairobi in the 80s and 90s, was taken to the racetrack by his parents at weekends. Now, Mutuota, who is in his 40s, is a director at the Jockey Club of Kenya, which operates and regulates the sport. At this year’s Day of Champions, three of the seven trainers were black, as were 10 of the 13 jockeys.
Booo, cruelty to animals:
The deaths of three horses in less than an hour at Cheltenham on Sunday, including Abuffalosoldier, who collapsed as ITV Racing’s reporter in the pull-up area was concluding a post-victory interview with his jockey, brought the track’s November meeting to a miserable conclusion after two days that were full of positivity and promise for the winter campaign ahead. After viewers had seen replays of the incidents in which Bangers And Cash and Napper Tandy died, as well as a freeze-frame of the instant before Abuffalosoldier’s collapse, Patterson said: “Public support is decreasing for horse racing and we have seen welfare improvements come in after our disruption of the Grand National last year which obviously is better for horses in the short term, but yeah, we need to be thinking of phasing this out completely and having a complete ban.”

Gosh, which will win?

That's A Lot Of Words To Say 'We Have To Obey The Law', Mark...

Representatives of Goal Diggers undertook a 12-mile walk from their training pitches in Haggerston Park to Wembley Stadium to deliver their open letter to the FA. In it they demanded a reversal of the ban on transgender women from women’s football and described the FA’s decision as a “pitiful and weak response” to the supreme court’s ruling.

And did the FA immediately capitulate? Reader, surprisingly they did not!

Mark Bullingham, the chief executive of the Football Association, has written to London grassroots football club Goal Diggers FC explaining the governing body’s decision to ban transgender women from women’s football “was not an ideological judgment, but a difficult decision” based on legal advice that a “change in policy was necessary” following the supreme court ruling which said the term “woman” in the Equality Act refers only to a biological woman.

So there! Of course, hiding behind the ‘big boys did it and ran away’ excuse, instead of coming out and saying ‘We should never have gone along with this nonsense in the first place!’ So brave…

Goal Diggers player Becky Taylor-Gill (Ed: yes, Reader, just the sort of smug white liberal woman who you'd expect to find hurling gasoline on this fire so she can preen about her conscience) said the FA needs to stand more firmly with transgender women.
“Their motto is football for all. Put your money where your mouth is,” said Taylor-Gill. “Put your lawyers in the situation where they can fight for football to be for all.

Why should they lose money on an unwinnable case so men who dress up as women can get their kicks in the female dressing rooms, Becky? Given they are losing money already by aligning themselves with this wretched movement?

“We’ve created a safe space for trans women in our women’s team that we really cherish and they should feel welcomed. This decision will just push more trans women out of football at a time when that’s what they really need.”

Pushing men out of female spaces is only going to increase, because they never should have been in them in the first place.

Why Not, Gaslighting Works Even When There's Video...

...after all, we've all seen video of men in womanface and been told they are female, so they clearly think it works.

The track star seen hitting her opponent in the head with a baton in a shocking incident has remarkably claimed it was an accident.

And why not? These days, when caught out, just tell the most outrageous lie!

The indoor track championships in Virginia were marred when Alaila Everett was seen striking Kaelen Tucker during the 4x200m relay event of the VSHL Class 3 State Indoor Championships. Tucker was running the second leg of the relay for Lynchburg's Brookville High School when she passed Everett of I.C. Norcom High School on the outside. Everett, who claimed she has since been on the receiving end of death threats and racial slurs, broke down in tears as she gave her version of events on the viral incident.

Ah, the modern way - when caught out and it’s impossible to deny what you did, make yourself the victim!

She told Wavy.com: 'Nobody is going to believe me because I can admit from the video it does look purposeful. But I know my intentions and I would never hit anybody on purpose.' She added: 'After a couple times of hitting her, my baton got stuck behind her back like this, and it rolled up her back. I lost my balance and, when I pumped my arms again, she got hit.'

She dindu nuffin’, right?

She added: 'Everybody has feelings, so you’re physically hurt, but you’re not thinking of my mental (health).'

Well, no, we're thinking of the assault victim with the fractured skull. We did, after all, see it happen.

Stop Giggling, It’s Not Funny!

Does it produce that vacant expression, or was that already there?
Keating, 20, stood in the dock at Manchester magistrates court alongside her mother, Nicola Keating, 48, jointly charged with possession of the Class C drug, more widely known as laughing gas, in Manchester last month. The footballer, wearing a black trouser suit and trainers, spoke only to confirm her name and address. She was asked to indicate a plea and replied “not guilty”, as did her mother.
Magistrates granted Keating and her mother unconditional bail and adjourned the case until 10 September back at the same court for a district judge to fix a date for trial.

Racism In Football - Is This An Own Goal?

Sentencing Quadri, from Dartford, District Judge Louisa Cieciora said: ‘You demonstrated hostility based on the victim's race and of course it was in a public forum.
‘I have to take into account the wider context - particularly that footballers have been taking the knee in all games to demonstrate their ongoing commitment to fight racism and all forms of discrimination, and the fact that the comment is likely to be seen by a wider audience, and the harm caused by racism is of course pervasive and should never be underestimated.'

He was upset a black footballer passed the ball to a white teammate, and clearly felt not a twinge of shame about stating it so clearly no-one could deny he was racist.

Prosecutor Frances McCormack told Westminster Magistrates' Court Quadri used the the name @quadz19 on X when he made the post. This was reported to the football association and the police began investigating it.
Mr McCormack said: 'He stated in an interview that he didn’t think the comments were offensive because he was a black male himself, so he did make partial admissions but not full admissions.
'He made the comment because in that particular match at that particular time the previous four people who had scored a goal for England had been black, and he said that if Mr Wilson had scored a goal there would have been an all black scoring sheet.'

His brief could only fall back on his age as a possible excuse.

James Powell, defending Quadri, said: 'This is an indication more of immaturity rather than wickedness.
'There’s been no offending before or since this one act of immaturity which may be the only act of immaturity he’s ever committed in his life.'

Should have ended that with 'so far'.

This Is How To Stop This Nonsense...

A West Virginia transgender athlete won her shot put competition in her first sporting event following an appeals court ruling that allowed her to participate - as other contestants refused to play against her.
Pepper-Jackson took home first place in the shot put competition with her 32-foot effort, three feet further than second place, and she placed second in discus.

Sadly, only some of the girls took this stand:

Despite being legally allowed to compete, some athletes protested Pepper-Jackson's participation by refusing to play against her. Five girls from Lincoln Middle School stepped up to the circle for their turn, then refused to throw the ball.Scores recorded from the event on Athletic.net show the athletes received a mark of 'no distance.'

If only every girl had done this. That's what will stop this nonsense in its tracks.

The court noted Pepper-Jackson has lived as a girl for over five years. She began identifying as female in the third grade and has participated strictly on girls' sports teams. In addition to taking puberty blockers and estrogen hormone therapy, the student has legally changed her name, and the state of West Virginia has issued her a birth certificate listing her as female.

Thirs grade? That's ages 8 to 9? How the hell is this not child abuse?

Her mother, Heather Pepper-Jackson, said, 'She likes to do the best in everything, be it algebra or running or shot put or discus.' 'She tries to excel in everything that she does, just like any other kid... if she didn't start the fight, who's going to?'

Clearly not parents whose concern is not for their son's obvious mental health issues.

It's Why Everyone Else Joined, Surely?

A new bill in the state, known as SB 375, was being pored over on Monday by legislators, LGBTQ groups and educators before the state Education Committee. It is one of two bills in the state that would ban transgender girls from competing on sports teams aligning with their gender identity.
Just the 'girls'? Is that because no 'men' try this trick, perchance? That should tell you someing in and of itself, shouldn't it?
Trans teen Maelle Jacques, who was born a male and previously won a girl's high jump state championship, insisted she didn't join female sports to win outright.

I think that's similar to 'saying the quiet part out loud, 'Michelle'...

Jacques told the hearing: 'I'm here to testify in opposition of SB375. Throughout my entire life, sports have been an integral part to my belonging.
Her testimony continued: 'Playing soccer since the age of three, when I began my transition in the sixth grade my school welcomed me onto the girls team.
'This act of being part of the team allowed me to skip through the phase of social ostracization. The other girls accepted me as who I was.
'Being part of the team allowed me to be seen as normal, where everywhere else I could be perceived as a pariah.
'I didn't join sports with the goal of dominating competition or being better than anyone else.

Did you ever ask the real girls if that was true for them?

'No one would go through the bullying and self hatred of transition purely to win a sport, especially woman's sports, which are under appreciated in our nation.
'I joined because it is something I am passionate about and enjoy. If banned from sports teams and locker rooms, joining male teams wouldn't be a choice for me.'

It's All Kicking Off Now!

In a statement shared on X earlier this week, they wrote: 'Peterborough United Football Club strongly condemn all forms of social media abuse and are appalled by some of the comments aimed at our players over the weekend on X.
'We would like to reiterate that anyone involved in making or sharing such comments will be reported (Ed: to whom..?) and are not welcomed in interacting with our football club on any level.
'We will continue to support the players who have received any social media abuse and work with governing bodies to find a solution to stamping out any future abuse. The welfare of our players is paramount and will always be our priority.
'We hope social media companies will put the relevant legislation in place to stop any form of abuse from happening moving forward.'

Gosh! What sort of awful abuse have they been coming in for? Death threats? Is it something the media can even print?

After Peterborough posted images of the two women to celebrate their goals on X, supporters piled in with comments, with many appearing to focus mainly on the players' appearances rather than their goalscoring ability.

Oh. Well, it's noticable that their official photos are rather like glamour shots... but it's hardly 'abuse' to notice that, is it?

There were also a number of remarks that appeared to be patronising the players, with one writer posting: 'Kirk > Messi and Ronaldo', while another stated the forward is 'the goatttttt' (Greatest of all time) and a fellow 'fan' claimed 'she must win the ballon d'Or'. Another 'supporter' added: 'Another weekend, another Perkins and Kirk masterclass'.

Oh, FFS! Calling this 'abuse' when it's at best mild ribbing is ridiculous!

Didn't Really Need The Location Pointer, 'Mail' Photo Editor...

Needham, commenting on her club's Facebook site, revealed that her side has 'faced challenges from teams unwilling to play against us while I am on the field.'

Well, how would they kn...

Oh.

Needham had received full backing from her club, with the ladies' team secretary posting the message 'in unity we defeat discrimination', as well as its fans.

It's not discrimination, it's health and safety!

The trans player has only played two matches this season – both in October – after apparently being given clearance by the FA. In the first game the opponent's manager, who has asked not to be named, realised five minutes into the game that she was transgender.
It took 5 minutes? I thought it was traditionally the referee who was supposed to have eyesight problems!
Fiona McAnena at Fair Play For Women said: 'Footballers are separated by sex for very good reasons.
'If you put one male on the pitch they are faster, they are stronger. It is patently unfair and in a contact sport like football it's unsafe.
'These women didn't choose mixed football, they chose women's football. It's not because this player is trans, it is because they are male.'

And they will stay male, no matter what surgery they undergo or what a piece of paper declares them to be...

When Is Empty Virtue Signalling Not 'Appropriate'..?

Ah. I see. And I can guess we can draw our own conclusions as to why not...

England fans have also been warned that Israeli flags will be ripped off them at the turnstiles as the FA - which has been branded as 'spineless' by Jewish supporter groups - faces questions over its slow response to the terror attacks by Hamas. The Three Lions boss said that he recognised how 'difficult' the FA's decision was, and that while he was not involved in the discussions, he and his squad will get behind the stance which comes with 'good intentions'.

You do know which road you're on, then, Gareth?

Lord Mann said that the 'FA have let down the Jewish community', adding: 'It's a failure of leadership at the top of football and their arguments to Parliament about a football regulator and not needing one or that the FA should be the regulator are dramatically weakened by it.'

It should scupper any chance they had. But since the government is equally weak and spineless, it probably won't.

"Admit It, You're Not Here For The Football, Are You?"

The BBC has been made to apologise after a reporter asked a player at the Women's World Cup an 'inappropriate' question about homosexuality at a press conference.
The journalist, who reportedly works for the BBC World Service, asked national team captain Ghizlane Chebbak on Sunday: 'We know that gay marriage is illegal [in Morocco]. Are there any gay players in the team? And what is it like for them?'

Now, yes, the 'endangerment' issue is undoubtedly the factor people are homing in on, but why is no-one asking why a journalist there to report on a sport isn't asking about the offside rule or whether she'll use the 4-3-3 formation instead?

He's Not The Only One, Mihir...

Mihir Bose is the author of Dreaming The Impossible: The Battle to Create A Non-Racial Sports World, according to his 'Guardian' bio. He also seems to be a bit of an idiot.
For too long, senior leaders in cricket have been in denial about race. When I interviewed the veteran cricket administrator Tim Lamb for my book on creating a non-racial sports world, he said he had found no evidence of racism in the game. When I asked him about Yorkshire having a separate cricket league run by Asian Muslims, he did not see it as a problem.

Did you not wonder why there was a Black Police Association, Mihir? Did you not see that as a similar problem?

“The fact of the matter is, rightly or wrongly, there are Asian cricketers and Asian clubs that feel more comfortable playing with their own kind,” he said. “I mean there are cultural differences.”

Are you denying that, then, Mihir?

Then he said something that really rocked me: “Throughout our conversation we’ve talked about racist behaviour on the part of white people against black people, but I’m sure you wouldn’t deny that there is reverse racism by non-white people towards white people.”

I'd argue that. Because it's not 'reverse racism', it's just racism. But Mihir doesn't mention how he answered that question, does he, Reader?

Within women’s cricket, racism is also evident. Of the 161 female players at professional level, players are disproportionately white, with only two Black British, four mixed/multiple ethnicity and eight South Asian female players.

Fancy! A team being disproportionally white in a country which is disproportionally white!

It's About Making A Show Of Power...

If clubs have requested a stoppage before the game, the referee will signal for a break, allowing Muslim players to eat and drink at pitchside. Everton's game against Tottenham was stopped in the 26th minute to allow players that had been fasting during the day to take on energy supplements.

But wait, wasn't that after sunset anyway? Reader, you guessed correctly...

Although sunset was before kick-off, allowing players to break their fast, a drinks break was pre-agreed with the referee when both teams - including Toffees trio Abdoulaye Doucoure, Amadou Onana and Idrissa Gueye - came to the side of the pitch to take on fluids.

It's not doing its job - which is not the job they claim - if the kuffar don't see it, is it?

I never thought I'd say this, as an Englishwoman born and bred, but...why can't we be more French?

Meanwhile, France's football federation (FFF) has told referees they must not pause matches to allow Muslim players to break their fast during Ramadan.
"Football does not take into account the political, religious, ideological, or syndical [trade unions] considerations of its actors," read an email to officials. "It is up to all of the parties involved to make sure it is respected."

*sighs*

It's Not Whether You Win Or Lose, It's How You Play The Game...

...and that goes double for the race-baiting crowd:
As of Friday morning the ECB’s comprehensive 82-page report into all of this is now upon us, complete with the verdicts on charges against seven well-known Yorkshire cricketing figures. At the end of which it will be tempting to conclude that there are no winners in this; or perhaps that only Vaughan emerges with any credit, successfully cleared of a single charge of having referred to four players of South Asian origins by referring to them as “you lot” in the famous huddle.
But the truth is the ECB’s judgment is a victory for Rafiq.

Eh..? How on earth do you reach that conclusion? It's been a complete loss for race-baiters, hasn't it?

As usual...

...the fact is nobody can doubt Rafiq’s testimony now. For all the pain, embarrassment, and abuse, the viciousness of having his character dissected in public, the key point of all this has been upheld. And Rafiq has only ever had one point to make, that Yorkshire CCC’s institutional racism had damaged careers and lives, and that those concerns had been glossed over both by the county and initially by the ECB on Tom Harrison’s watch.

Ah, yes, Rafiq's character. Well, he's only got himself to blame for all that, hasn't he?

... it is now a mater (sic) of public record that Rafiq was routinely referred to as “Kaffir” and Ismail Dawood as “Token Black Man”. It was found that Bresnan called Rafiq’s sister “a fit Paki”. It was found that John Blain used the P-word. More usefully we know that there was and still is a massive cross-purpose misunderstanding of what racism is, and that, for example, Matthew Hoggard genuinely believes Matthew Hoggard is best equipped to decide this matter.

There certainly seems to be a big blind spot with regards to racism, when it's only one race that's ever deemed guilty of it...

There are those who will now crow and celebrate Vaughan’s vindication, while also pointing to the less admirable qualities of Rafiq dragged across the stage for the crime of daring to speak out.

Well, imagine if he hadn't spoken out. We wouldn't know anything about his 'less admirable qualities', would we?

I expect that's white society's fault too.
