Just 'Collateral Damage', I Suppose?

A man jailed when a woman falsely cried rape told of his fury yesterday after learning that police knew the woman was 'unreliable'.
He served three years...

And despite their knowledge of her unreliability, that wasn't enough for the politically correct CPS and police:
...which was later increased to five, despite no forensic evidence to back up the claims.
Still, has justice now been done? Has she been named and jailed?

What do you think?
Taylor, who is said to have made seven other false sex attack allegations, including one against her father, would otherwise have kept her identity secret for life.

But she was not prosecuted for perjury, because prosecutors decided she was too ill.
Oh, well. At least he got compensation and a fulsome apology from the...

Oh:
A Northamptonshire Police spokesman said the force 'regrets that some aspects of the investigation and handling of information, which emerged after Mr Blackwell's conviction in 1999, fell well below the required standard'.
Ya think?!?

This 'ain't the first & won't be the last.
I know a couple of females who cried "rape" to get back at certain chaps.
Now you know why I don't have a lot of respect for my own sex! :(

Interesting use of the term 'justice'. No doubt they will be extremely busy working out how much to charge him for accommodation for those 3 years?

Any thoughts on this one Julia? It's rather unusual.

Appalling indictment of the Police and the CPS. No one wants to discourage rape victims from coming forward, female or male, and this type of injustice does just that. It undermines faith in our justice system and a pathetic excuse instead of a full and proper apology just rubs salt into the wound.

Radical Fuckwitists like Harriet Harman, always claim that naming the male defendant in a rape case is valid because it will encourage other victims to come forward (they never believe it is a one off you see) but they never advance the equally valid arguement that naming the alleged victim may cause other males who have been falsely accused my her to come forward and discredit her evidence.
Rape is no longer a horrible Offence against the person, but now a political crime.
If Justice is to be done, and seen to be done then either neither party should be named before the conclusion of a trial, or both should. I favour the latter myself.

Oh and the police should be done for witholding vital evidence, and the compensation payments should be massive!

To be fair Sky reports that the Northants Plod CC apologised in person to Warren Blackwell earlier in the week. But on the other hand he was released in 03 and the conviction finally quashed in 06, so the apology is a bit on the bloody late side. You'd almost think they weren't bothered about doing anything until they got it in the neck from the IPCC.

Oh, how prophetic that proved to be! As AC1 points out, here comes the next, right on cue...

"Any thoughts on this one Julia? It's rather unusual."

Sadly, that link seems to be non-working.

"...a pathetic excuse instead of a full and proper apology just rubs salt into the wound."

Quite. And the deduction for food, etc, as Chuickles points out, rubs hydrochloric acid in for good measure...

"...but they never advance the equally valid arguement that naming the alleged victim may cause other males who have been falsely accused my her to come forward and discredit her evidence."

That's because they really, genuinely don't care about these cases. To them, 'collateral damage' is exactly what they are.

How twisted do you have to be, to think that way?

I'm sure the timing was purely coincidental...

*removes tongue from cheek*

"Another rare occurrence."

Yup! I couldn't believe my eyes when that popped into my reader. In fact, I thought it was this story again, with a different slant, until I clicked on it...

I am sick of these stories now. Is it me or are they becoming so frequent now that one of two things or both false reports of rape are becoming more frequent and they are being reported more frequently where they were not before?

There are few people who do report this type of crime against men, right minded women and society. You are one of them Julia and it takes some guts to have a dispassionate, logical and well thought out opinion. My opinion I know tends to be clouded by bitter and angry experience, I hope that people can forgive me when I do let my emotions cloud an otherwise simple problem with some simple solutions.

This case is perhaps one of the most sad in that he was found guilty before the truth came out. To pay for his time in prison in nothing more than adding insult to injury. When the evidence that exists of the false accusers repeated and disgusting lies is not been acted on and this in itself makes the authorities jointly criminally culpable.

It is in the interests of men, women, feminists and rape victims to hunt these women down and stop them then address with punishment and or treatment their individual malfunction.

I have yet to see any sensible argument that precludes anonymity for all until and if a guilty verdict is arrived at. The question of accusers receiving financial compensation regardless of a conviction is beyond logic as is the repayment of financial compensation if a guilty verdict is not returned. Support that is only of use to a real victim of rape must be given as soon as an accusation is made because it is useless to anyone other than a real rape victim. Where there is evidence that someone has made false statements in the pursuance of bringing about a malicious prosecution this must always be followed up, recorded nationally and used not only to catch the guilty but to prevent reoccurrences, no excuses!

False rape accusers your time is coming, mark my words, you can run but you cant hide!!!!!!mu
