Kyle Lye, 19, thumped his victim, who cannot be named for legal reasons, to the ground during a vicious attack.
The thug kicked the teenage girl and punched her approximately 25 times as she cowered on the ground.
Jonathan Wilkinson, prosecuting, told Liverpool Magistrates' Court: "He said he wouldn't stop until she's dead."
No doubt this will mean a long spell in j...
Sentencing Lye yesterday, chairman of the bench Magistrate S. Wood said: "We all make mistakes, it's a question of controlling your emotions."
He gave Lye a 20-week prison term, suspended for one year, and must complete 10 hours of Rehabilitation Activity Requirements and 120 hours of unpaid work.
Yikes, only suspended for one year! Mildly inconveniencing Chris Whitty gets your sentence hanging over you for two!
He must also complete a Building Better Relationships Programme, which Magistrate Wood said was "fundamental" to Lye's rehabilitation.
The magistrate added: "As you're aware you could be going to prison. You don't want to go to prison at your age I don't think.
"We do feel the custody threshold has been passed, however we're going to suspend any sentence for 12 months."
Why? Is it because he was in a relationship with the victim, as if that somehow makes it better..?
Lye, from Knotty Ash, Liverpool, admitted assault causing actual bodily harm. But the young father...
Oh, terrific! It's bred.
...told the court there was "no real visible injury," to which Magistrate Wood asked "are they just pretend kicks?".
Mr Wilkinson confirmed the hits "made contact" but said there was "no bruising".
