A Tale For Modern Times...

The father of a 16-year-old who stabbed and killed 17-year-old Charlie Cosser has claimed shared responsibility following the guilty plea of his son. 'It's not just him, we are all guilty,' he said, speaking after the hearing of the minor, who cannot be named for legal reasons and who faces a life sentence.
'He is a child, we are all responsible and should have been making sure they were not drinking. I never saw him drinking before.'

I think you should have made sure he wasn't stabbing, rather than anything else, shouldn't you?

Amy Packham, for the Crown, said: 'There is no evidence as to the origins of the knife.'

Really? Has it vanished? Is this a 2023 updating of 'Cluedo'..?

Her Honour Judge Christine Laing KC DL (Ed: Oh dear...) told him: 'Having pleaded guilty to this matter, you know there is only one sentence this court can pass and that is life imprisonment.'

Which - because it's 2023 and this is the 'justice' system won't be a life sentence.

A 16-year-old girl, who cannot be named for legal reasons, denied assisting an offender at another hearing at Crawley Magistrates' Court yesterday. The girl, from Horsham, listened with her mother in court as the charge was read to her.
She pleaded not guilty to arranging transport from the scene, allowing an offender to stay at an address, arranging for change of clothing and footwear and putting a bloodied towel in washing machine.

Probably the only time a modern teenage girl uses the washing machine off her own bat is to launder evidence...

I remember when Horsham used to be nice but I guess it is quite close to Crawley.

My beautiful son was gentle and avoided any confrontation in is very short life - my family and I will continue to fight for justice and the launch of our Charity 'Charlie's Promise' will enable me to dedicate the remainder of my life educating young people on the dangers and impacts of knife crime. If it can happen to Charlie in a sleepy village it can happen to anyone - we love you forever Cheeks 🩵🩵🩵
