Terrifying video shows the moment a mob of men brutally beat a lesbian couple who were out celebrating one of their birthdays. Emma MacLean said she and her girlfriend, who she only identified as 'Tori,' were walking in downtown Halifax, Canada on June 22 when they first encountered a group of about 10 men...

Bloody macho lumberjacks, I expect?  

...they believe to be of Middle Eastern descent and from Syria.

Oh. 

As they were passing by, one of the men allegedly made a rude comment about MacLean - prompting her girlfriend to stand up for her.

'My girlfriend, Tori, said "Hey that's my girlfriend,"' MacLean recounted to CTV News. 'They continued walking and then Tori followed them to basically verbally be like "That is not OK,"' MacLean said.

So not only did you fall for the multiculti 'we can all live together' bullshit, you swallowed the Hollywood premise that girls can challenge grown men with impunity. Say, haven't we heard this one before? I think we have. And closer to home, too.   

That's when the group allegedly started to beat Tori.

And 'allegedly' is doing a lot of work here, because there's video. So we don't have another HMMONA case this time.  

Eventually, a bystander alerted police patrolling the area nearby - but by then, MacLean said the fight had already ended.

Hurrah, policemen to the rescue, ladies! Aren't you lucky? They won't stand for this nonsense in ultra-liberal Canada! Will they? 

Officers then spoke with one of the men involved in the assault, who blamed the fight on the two women. The other men involved refused to cooperate with police, or give their IDs, MacLean said.

Oh. I thought that would earn you a trip downtown to correct your attitude. I guess 'immigrant' trumps 'lesbian' in Trudeau's frozen liberal paradise... 

More Of This, Please!

The video, which has now gone viral, shows a confident Trudeau waving at supporters who had lined up to meet him as he marches up to greet them with his security guards standing just yards away. The 51-year-old shakes someone's hand and waves at a child in a stroller before attempting to shake the hand of another crowd member who says: 'I'm not shaking your hand bro, you're a f***ing piece of s***.'

One wonders what he was doing in the crowd. Waiting for this chance? 

And of course, with the typical arrogance of the politician, Trudeau stops to argue. After all, he can surely get the better of his heckler, can't he?

Trudeau looks visibly taken aback and asks; 'Why's that, sir?' The man replies: 'You f***ed up the entire country.

Trudeau then asks: 'How did I mess up this country?' The man replies: 'Can anybody afford a home?' He starts ranting about carbon taxes asking what the people are getting charged for. Trudeau calmly explains that the government is putting the price on pollution and 'returning it to families like yours'.

'You're sending it over to Ukraine, right?' the man counters. 'You're sending it over to the guy you were with who slaughtered his own country.'

So, how does a world leader, a man supposedly selected for his quick thinking and mature outlook, handle this?

Before walking off, Trudeau says: 'You've been listening to Putin have you?'

'You know a lot of Russian disinformation.'

Yes. Like a five year old losing a playground spat. What a statesman! 

If The Authorities Were That Concerned...

...surely something more effective would be used? Like Liberace? Or rap music?

And What Reception Will You Give Journalists, Or Ottawa's Police Chief..?

Barely 24 hours after a gunman attacked Parliament Hill in Ottawa, killing a soldier, lawmakers gave a standing ovation to Kevin Vickers, the legislature's sergeant-at-arms, for reportedly firing the shots that took down the assailant.

Vickers, 58, stood at attention and appeared close to tears before the House of Commons as the applause wore on. He's being regarded as a hero in Canada for keeping the gunman from penetrating farther into the parliamentary compound.

As RAB at 'Counting Cats...' points out, he's a brave man, and more importantly, a man who had the right tools for the job to hand when he needed them.

But sadly, he's too late to prevent further penetration of Canadian society:

She was dismissive of uncovered plots against the Canadian state and instead focused on Muslims who had volunteered for the security services. She then went on to suggest that unless Canada dropped its opposition to ISIS the Muslim community might change its allegiance.

And far too late to prevent further penetration of the country's police farce:

Ottawa police Chief Charles Bordeleau sent out a letter that encouraged building the relationships between ethnic groups over breaking them.

He also said police are aware of potential concerns for Muslim groups. ​

"This is about one individual who committed a despicable act," Bordeleau said, "I want to reassure [groups] should there be any backlash that they notify us.… We are there to continue to support them."

What can you say? Other, that is, to echo Farenheit451:

"This murderous attack should be a lesson to us all, and that lesson should be that wherever Islam goes and wherever Islam is tolerated or indulged, there is violence from the followers of Islam. This violence is so often aimed at those at the individuals and institutions of those countries which naively tolerate or facilitate Islam. We’ve seen this now not only in Canada, but also in the United States and the United Kingdom."

Amen.

Nice Idea, Shame About The Execution…

Abbotsford, BC (British Columbia, that is. It’s not a date, despite the dinosaur thinking involved!):

On Tuesday morning city workers pulled up to the green space along the railway tracks not far from the Salvation Army's Centre of Hope and began dumping chicken manure on the ground to deter the homeless from camping there.

Right. Because the smell of the chicken manure is far sweeter than the smell of tramps...?

They mayor wasn't impressed at this display of initiative:

Arriving at the camp, Barman told the media he was dismayed by the incident.

"I came to apologize to those who were affected," said Barman, after speaking with some of those affected by the city's actions.

"Like many residents, I'm embarrassed, deeply ashamed and sorry for what happened," he said. Barman said he had no prior knowledge about the plans to use manure to disperse the homeless. It's not yet clear how the concept was chosen, he said. 

After a round or two of drinks, perhaps?

"We're reviewing how that decision was made," said Barman. "Regardless of how it happened, we are going to learn to do better."

My suggestion? Elephants. They’re bigger than chickens, after all…

Oh, and no, he wasn't apologising to the town so much, for the waste of public money; he was apologising mostly to the bums!

Still, it was nice to see that, in Canada, they don't engage in mealy-mouthed blame-shuffling:

On Wednesday, Abbotsford city manager George Murray took responsibility for the city's decision to dump the manure.

"As city manager, I take this situation very seriously and retain full responsibility for the manner in which we dealt with this incident," he stated in a press release.

"I am deeply sorry for our actions."

Refreshing, no?

The City of Cornwall has voted to limit its online advertising money to media outlets that keep a close eye on what councillors consider "offensive or inflammatory" content.

Yes, this is indeed in the Canada that Heather Mallick seems to think is becoming some sort of right-wing paradise.

However, the motion doesn't define what "offensive of inflammatory" means.

Well, of course it doesn’t! That’s up to the Kommisars…errr, I mean ‘councilmen’ to decide, isn’t it?

Coun. Andre Rivette said it's clear that too many Cornwall residents take advantage of the anonymity of the internet to attack others.

"You can comment all you want, but be respectful," Rivette said, offering some examples.

Oooh! This’ll be good….

"Personal attacks are comments that use the term 'sleazy' or 'crooked' to refer to people or groups of people, to refer to people in city politics," he said.

Because these paragons of virtue are never, ever sleazy. Or crooked. Right?

Terry Tinkess, the co-ordinator of the journalism program at St. Lawrence College, said online commentators often feel emboldened to post hurtful statements due to their anonymity on the internet.

"There's no doubt that some people do get a little bit out of control. When you can sit in front of the keyboard, you tend to say things you wouldn't say face-to-face," he said.

Still, Tinkess said, councillors may have to learn to deal with that and develop thicker skins.

They don’t do ‘learning’, or ‘dealing with things’. They just do ‘silencing the critics’…

"I think they need to get some better parameters to determine what is and what's not inflammatory," he said. "Anybody that goes into the public sector, they have to accept that there's going to be a certain amount of criticism that they're going to experience."

And, once they are in the public sector, they find more and more ways of avoiding it or dismissing it.

Rivette acknowledged that the policy is partly directed at the website Cornwall Free News, a private blog where unmoderated comments frequently attack city leaders.

Note that; ‘unmoderated comments’. They hate that. The very idea that someone could speak freely. Why, they might say anything! ANYTHING AT ALL!

Tinkess said that although the councillors may be railing against unwanted attention on the internet, the public forums are still useful for garnering uncensored opinion about how they're performing their duties.

"At the same time they should also be grateful for the feedback that they're getting from there. Internet chat sites, news media, boards where people can post comments — what better way to hear from the people you don't meet face to face?" he said.

But you see, they don’t want to ‘hear from the people’. They just want the people to shut up and do as they are damned well told, by state approval…
