'Someone Should Have Saved Me From The Consequences Of My Own Actions!'

Emma Dyer remembers the moment she clicked "buy now" on a set of weight‑loss jabs she found online. She had no medical consultation, no ID checks, and no questions about her history of anorexia and bulimia. "It was just so easy - too easy," she says. "They never asked for my medical history or what medication I was taking. It was like buying groceries."

Except you weren't ordering cornflakes and crackers, and you knew that.

Within days of taking the injections, Emma collapsed on her bathroom floor and thought she was going to die.

She didn't, Reader. She survived to deman ACTION! on her behalf.

Emma had a history of eating disorders. She says she had reached a healthy weight, felt stable, and was working in a job she enjoyed. But a single comment from a customer who she said told her "you looked a lot better when you were skinnier", sent her spiralling.

Oh, well.

The 40-year-old, from Carlton in Nottinghamshire, said the website she used offered no safeguards. She says it only asked for her body mass index (BMI), which she was able to lie about. "If they'd checked my medical history with my GP, I don't think I would've been eligible," she says. "My BMI was normal. I just wasn't in the right headspace to make a logical decision."

And a website is supposed to know that?

When the injections arrived back in March 2024, the instructions were "poorly printed", Emma says. Not realising she needed to start on a low dose, she injected a medium one.

So she can't read either.

She has now decided to share her story in the hope others will think twice before ordering weight-loss jabs online.

I've no intention of thinking even once about ordering medication (after self-diagnosing) from the Internet, thanks. Because I'm not a moron.

Oh Look, It's The Consequences Of Our Actions Once Again!

 How it started:

How it's going:

Just once, I'd like the conseqences to fall on those ptoposing something, and not on everyone else.

"Mercy to the guilty is cruelty to the innocent"

Never was that quote by Adam Smith more encapsulated in a modern context than in this revolting case which shows us all how low the justice system has sunk.
A transgender woman who groomed and raped a young girl in Wirral before transitioning has been jailed for 15 years
So a man when he committed the offence, and of course, still a man now.Always a man in fact. Yet described as a woman in every report of this nighmare case, apart from one no doubt accidental slip in the Wirral Globe.
Liverpool Crown Court heard that the victim has been badly affected by his appalling behaviour and her former outgoing personality has changed. Jailing the defendant, who appeared in the dock sporting a moustache, Judge Katherine Pierpoint, said, “You groomed her so you could start to abuse her to fulfil your own sexual desires.”

Yes, Reader, a white liberal female judge. You know what to expect from such now, don't you?

Anthony O’Donohoe, defending, said that a custodial sentence was likely to be difficult for Peers.

He's the defence brief, considering this pervert to be the real victim is his job. It's certainly not, however, the job of the judge:

The judge said she accepted Peers had struggled with gender identification issues throughout her life. “I appreciate as a transgender prisoner there are issues you will have to navigate during a lengthy prison sentence.”

Those are consequences, Judge.

Sympathy Evaporating....

A grieving mother says action should be taken to tackle Britain's e-scooter 'scourge', as she shared photos following her 14-year-old son's death in a crash. Carly Calland posted pictures, including some of paramedics treating her son Jacob, in an effort to 'bring home the reality and seriousness of what happened'.

Well, she's not wrong, these things are indeed a total menace.

Campaign calls have been backed by Ms Calland, whose son Jacob died in an e-scooter accident in March last year - and she has now shared photos of the clothes he was wearing at the time, after finally having them returned last week. She wrote: 'After a lot of thought, I feel it is right that I share these photos with the public. As is normal in this day and age, members of the public started taking photographs of the scene and started posting on social media straight away.'

Well, you're in good company, because this is the subject of yet another demand for legislation to regulated human nature. So what happenerd to the illegal rider who mowed down your young son while he was walking innocently on the pavement? I mean, that was what happened, right?

Jacob was riding on the back of an e-scooter without a helmet through a busy junction in Wythenshawe, Manchester, on March 19 2025, when the crash happened.

Oh...

She told the Daily Mail how she wants e-scooters to be legalised, as a step towards better regulating their use - as well as mandatory wearing of helmets and a ban on carrying people as passengers.

Not quite as breathtakingly awful as killing your parents and having the audacity to then plead clemency on the grounds you're an orphan, but certainly in the ballpark.

Ms Calland added: 'I'm not going to stop campaigning. The government say they'll make changes - I won't allow them not to. It won't be worth their while ignoring me.'

They'll file you in the same box they file all demands from people who want governmemt to save them from the consequences of their own failures, unless they think there are votes in it for them. And I really don't think there are..

The Unemployment Lines In The US Are Getting Longer...

...not due to economic issues, just down to the emotional incontinence pd so many progressives in their reactions to the hideous muder of Charlie Kirk:

Their mouths (and mostly social media fingers) writing checks their employers, once brought to their attention, declined to cash.

And it's not just Twitter of coutse, over on Bluesky, where so many of the 'be kind' left went because they found Twitter 'too toxic':
Noe is it just the US, sad to say, mant washed up UK failed tv 'personalities' decided to get in on the act, despite the fact Charlie Kirk was relatively unknown here:

What posesses people to see a man shot for his opinions, and immediately rush to show the world how some opinons simply aren't worth listening to? Trawling through Twitter has been like wading through a swerer, or, as the inimitable David Thompson put it:

Some people, even now, are asking if people should lose their jobs for what they have said on social media, and I have to say 'Yes, yes, they should, because this isn't a freedom of speech issue, it's an issue of basic humanity and self control' And the people who cannot display any have been tolerated too long. Now is not a time fot 'unity' and singing Kumbahya', it is, as my fellow blogger James notes, a time for anger and refusal to tolerate the status quo the progressives have enjoyed up to now.

Don't Worry Danielle, We Can All Read Between The Lines Here...

A British law student who “made a very stupid mistake” has been jailed for life in Dubai, her family claimed in a now deleted post. Mia O’Brien’s mother Danielle McKenna, 46, launched a heartfelt plea on a fundraising site for help with travel and legal fees, according to reports.

That ‘stupid mistake’ being what, exactly? You don’t need to worry about that little detail, just give us the money!

O’Brien, 23, from Huyton, Liverpool, got “mixed up” with the wrong so-called friends and “is now paying the price”, Mrs McKenna said without specific details.

I think we can guess!

It is understood GoFundMe removed the page because it violates its ban on the raising of funds for the legal defence of certain alleged crimes.

A clue! A verifiable clue! As if ‘young and dumb strumpet from Liverpool alone in Dubai’ wasn’t enough of one.

Mrs McKenna reportedly told the Daily Mail: “She’s going through it at the minute. She’s just been transferred to another prison after getting a life sentence. “It’s been a massive shock.”

She must not have paid a lot of attention during her law lectures then?

The family has not disclosed the crime Mia has been convicted of, but the country generally hands down life sentences for the following offences: drug trafficking and possession; murder or attempted murder; human trafficking and terrorism-related activities. A life sentence in the UAE typically means 25 years of imprisonment.

Whereas over here, she’d probably have been out in 25 weeks. If she ever saw any jail time at all. Oh well…

The Insanity Of NetZero Rumbles On

Newcastle Brown Ale's extra-large 'pint' bottle, Grolsch's famous porcelain top flask and a slice of lime in the neck of Mexican lager Corona may all become things of the past, say industry bodies. It is feared the government's 'Extended Producer Responsibility' scheme will slap an additional cost of 5p per bottle on manufacturers, forcing some breweries to switch from glass to cans.

Another Labour triumph! Out with the beloved old, in with the shiny new!

The new green levy on food and drink packaging, which comes into force in April, is aimed at reducing heavier packaging such as glass.

Which, given glass is so easily recyclable, is nonsense. Did they not think it would have consequences?

According to the Government's own analysis, the tax could increase Britons' yearly grocery bills by up to £56 per household. British Glass chief executive Dave Dalton said: 'We believe the cost could be even higher once additional supply chain costs and VAT are added.'

So, they did. They just didn’t care.

Mr Dalton, whose body represents the UK glass industry, added: 'The bottom line is that the Government's packaging Extended Producer Responsibility scheme is putting thousands of jobs at risk in a sector that employs 120,000 in its supply chain - potentially shattering the UK glass sector.'

Shouldn’t Labour be concerned about job losses?

A spokesman added: 'We are committed to cracking down on waste and boosting recycling.
'These reforms will create 21,000 jobs and lead to more than £10billion investment in recycling over the next decade, while meaning taxpayers don't foot the bill for managing waste.'

Ah, it’s ‘Rachel from Complaints’ maths, where 21,000 is more than 120,000!

Like Killing Your Parents And Demanding Clemency Because You're An Orphan...

The activists who hounded Baillie Gifford out of sponsoring the summer book festivals are now trying to back hastily away from the backlash they are facing, by trying the 'We won but we’ve just realised the consequences of winning. How can we blame our victim for this?' tactic:

Which is quite the bald-faced chutzpah, I think you'll agree, Reader?
“Our first priority is to our audience and our artists,” Hay’s chief executive, Julie Finch, said at the time. “Above all else, we must preserve the freedom of our stages and spaces for open debate and discussion, where audiences can hear a range of perspectives.”

Now you'll have to stump up the cash for that yourselves. Good luck!

It's A Mugshot, Not A Fashion Shoot!

What happened to make this her mugshot? I thought they had to be a fixed standard?

A young mother who kicked another woman in the face and stamped on her head has been jailed.

No pussy pass? That's a revelation!

Charlotte Katie Unwin, 23, was twice given a chance to stay out of jail for the late-night street attack, York Crown Court heard. But now she is behind bars after the probation service twice sent her back to court for not carrying out Judge Simon Hickey’s order.
“I view your excuses with some scepticism,” the judge told her. “In my judgement it is not unjust to impose an immediate custodial sentence.
“People who stamp other people, particularly young women defenceless on the ground, usually go to prison.”

Not 'usually' enough! Bring on the excuses!

For Unwin, Graham Parkin said she had seen a man who had intimidated her when attending unpaid work and probation appointments and so she had stopped coming. But the judge said she had not told the probation service about this man.

Because he never existed?

Mr Parkin said Unwin had difficulties including post traumatic stress disorder because of treatment she had suffered. She had had problems in her childhood that had led to her using “extreme behaviour”.
“She has never had a life,” he said.

But she's no doubt made a lot of other lives a lot more miserable.

Brooke Morrison, for the probation service, said Unwin had been given five extra days’ rehabilitative activities for breaching the suspended sentence conditions at a hearing in September 2023. For a time after the hearing she had worked with the probation service, but had not co-operated with the service or attended any appointments since the beginning of April. In total, she had only attended 35 appointments out of 82. She had provided acceptable explanations for 26 of the missed appointments, but not for 19 of them.

So it's off to jail, and I suspect, consequences for the first time in her life.

And Let's All Hope It's Not The Last...

Marcus is a German citizen with pre-settled status in the UK, where he lives with his family: his partner, Holly Cullen-Davies, and his two stepchildren. Any non-citizen who has been sentenced to at least 12 months in prison is, unless they successfully appeal, automatically deported to their country of origin. According to the immigration charity Settled, this appears to be “the first time in the UK that the power of deportation has been used after a criminal conviction flowing from a protest.”
Good. Living in the country isn't a right, it's a privilege. Abuse it, and get sent back where you came from.
Holly, a concert pianist and choir leader, cannot move to Germany: her children need to be close to their dad, and she’s committed to looking after her parents. I met them for the first time last week, and I’ve seldom come across such a devoted couple. But unless Marcus can successfully appeal, their right to family life will be cruelly snatched away.

Actions have consequences, George, boo hoo!

Holly told me: “It’s impossibly sad to face the possibility that we’ll be separated for life. It feels like an intolerable punishment for the whole family.”
This is just one example of the vindictiveness of a flailing political class seeking to snuff out democratic challenge.

He didn't decide to 'offer a democratic challenge' though, did he? He didn't stand for office, or organise a petition - he climbed an important piece of infrastructure and inconvenienced thousands, to try to force his own viewpoint on others. That's the very opposite of democratic,

Climate campaigners have recently been deprived of their right to explain their motives to a jury, so now they are tried as if they were mindless vandals. Those who have sought to explain nonetheless have been imprisoned for contempt of court. The 69-year-old Trudi Warner is being prosecuted at the government’s behest for holding a placard stating an accepted fact of British law: that juries have a right to act according to their conscience.

And it hasn't stopped her, because she was at the side entrance to Snaresbrook Crown Court when I arrived for jury service on Wednesday morning the week before last.

The home secretary could cancel Marcus’s deportation with one stroke. So far, 157,000 people have signed a petition urging him to do so. As injustice is piled upon injustice, a great cruelty is being done. We need our Robin Hoods.

Robin Hood (allegedly) robbed from the rich to give to the poor - he didn't stop the poor earning an honest living.

Unforeseen Consequences...

...I wonder what that phrase is in Welsh?
Residents in a Denbighshire village say they feel like they are being "cut off" after their local bus service provider told them their stop was being axed following the introduction of the 20mph speed limit.

You'd need a heart of stone, wouldn't you?

Arriva Wales will no longer serve the village of Llandegla from 14 January after reviewing its timetable and service provision in North Wales. This will have a "huge impact" on everyone who relies on the service, according to Councillor Gwyneth Dillon, from Llandegla Community Council.

I wonder what they thought about the absurd 20mph limit proposal. Were they in favour?

A Welsh Government spokesperson said: “We have been clear we will continually monitor any impacts of the new default 20mph speed limit on bus services."

Think you need to do a bit more than just 'monitor'...

Go Woke, Go Broke...

Woke books that were bought for huge advances by 'inexperienced' editors have flopped commercially, insiders say. 'Ideological fanatics' allowing their politics to dictate professional decisions have seen profits slump, according to industry experts.

Gosh, you’d really have to have a heart of stone, wouldn’t you?

Among the works responsible for huge losses is a hotly anticipated memoir by the actor Eliot Page about his journey transitioning. 'Pageboy' sold for a $3 million advance but has sold just 68,000 copies.

Just sack a few woke editors, to recoup the money!

Other recent 'woke' flops are Carolyn Ferrell's, 'Dear Miss Metropolitan' described by the New York Times as 'a story of three young girls, Black and biracial, who are kidnapped and thrown into the basement of a decaying house in Queens.' The novel was acquired in a deal estimated to be worth more than $250,000, but has shifted just 3,163 copies since it was published in 2021.

Blimey, that’s not that much more than if all her friends and relatives bought a copy…

Another example is 'queer feminist Western', 'Lucky Red' by Claudia Cravens which has sold around 3,500 copies despite commanding a $500,000 advance.

Its clearly true what they say about a fool and their money. But let’s face it, they had it coming:

'We flat-out decided we weren't going to look at certain white male authors, because we didn't want to be seen as acquiring that stuff,' one senior editor told The Free Press.
When asked whether editors acknowledged they were 'discriminating against writers because of their skin color', the editor replied: 'I don't think it was worded quite as blatantly as that. It was worded more like, 'Is this the right time to be championing authors of more traditional backgrounds?' Often, the language was a bit opaque.'

The bank balance isn’t opaque, it’s pretty stark, isn’t it?

‘Mother Of The Year’ Title Still Up For Grabs…

And it won’t be going to Shona!

As my youngest daughter is a late August baby, she started school just one week after turning four and I'm ashamed to say she was still wearing night nappies at the time. Was this my fault for focusing on work and not spending my days encouraging her to sit on a potty? Guilty as charged, I'm afraid. But that was my choice.

And because it was your choice, that’s why you’re being criticised. Rightly so.

Seems Appropriate, Today...

I nearly cancelled my usual humourous Sunday posts, in view of the news yesterday. But then I remembered this one:

I hope they are swift and terrible. And they finally lance this Iran-backed boil once and for all.

Did You Think There'd Be No Consequences?

Well, what do you think now?

On Wednesday, more than a year on from the incident, the CPS announced it had authorised a murder charge to be issued against a police officer who is only being identified as Officer NX121. Protests from his colleagues, which the Met said has 'increased over the past 48 hours', is said to have left London with a 'skeleton' of armed police, causing panic among Met chiefs.
You can't force police to carry guns; they are volunteers. And if you fail to support them they will withdraw that goodwill.
'Hundreds of Authorised Firearms Officers on the MO19 command have handed in their blue tickets,' the source told The Sun.
'They are angry and upset. Their families are worried and therefore they do not believe they are in the right frame of mind to carry a firearm.'
The source suggested that officers are taking time away to determine whether they can continue a job which could be life-changing if they become involved in a shooting.

That's the thing with goodwill - it has to come from both sides to work/
