Well, unless the Mayans were right (about something other than the need for human sacrifice, that is), you're here and reading this, so here's a look at how we prepared for that other long-prophesied disaster...
1) The Mayans never predicted anything. It's what subsequent others decided was going to happen when their calendar rolls over (much as ours did on 31st December 1999)
2) Their (long) calender rolls over from 12.19.19.17.19 to 13.0.0.0.0 on 21st December this year, not last :)

Two things:
1) The Mayans never predicted anything. It's what subsequent others decided was going to happen when their calendar rolls over (much as ours did on 31st December 1999)
2) Their (long) calender rolls over from 12.19.19.17.19 to 13.0.0.0.0 on 21st December this year, not last :)
Funny how none of these "the world will end tomorow" bastards will ever take up my offer of a bet of €1 million, that they are wrong.

Well, indeed. Like us, they'd no doubt just planned to start a new calendar, albeit they wouldn't be buying it from WH Smith.

Strange, that... ;)
