Really? How Odd...

"You don't see a lot of entirely positive stories about WAGs and how intelligent they are and what a force for better in the world they are."
I think we can all agree that this is the point where the EHRC finally jumped the shark, yes?

In the noble tradition of comment recycling, here's one I made earlier about the 'Come Dine with Me - Wags Special':

Top moment - about 15 mins in; in the dining room of Chantelle Tagoe's mock-tudor mansion, she proudly shows off her new wallpaper - trompe l’oeil corrugated iron - and two matching portraits on her wall;
“These two portraits are Martin Luther King and Nelson Mandela….Martin Luther King?…I don’t know…erm…I know him, er…that is, I know of him…”

Oh dear - have I just breached EHRC guidelines again?

Ok EHRC, if I can't say WAGS I'll just have to go back to "tasteless, thick as a dead cat bimbo", satisfied?

"Are you or have you ever been, a plaudit of the EHRC?"

Many who confess with regret may liken it to an unforgettable phase of gorging on castor oil.

When I saw this I just knew you were going to mention it :)

"If you were to say 'WAGs are stupid, thick, wear too much make up, spend too much money, don't have any taste' – not that of course I would – then 'WAGs' would be seen as offensive, by lumping them together.

Yes, so terribly terribly unfair and untrue isn't it?

For instance, it is a little known and overlooked fact that mrs Rooney is a highly respected Astophysicist, who's six part series on Quantum mechanics is due on our screens this Autumn.
Produced by Victoria Beckham with Cheryl Cole doing a new version of Here Comes the Sun for the opening credits.
Please allow us to call a spade a spade eh? you EHRC twats!

WAGs are lovely, their lives are probably far more interesting than those of their HABs.

For a man, is it possible to NOT breach EHRC guidelines? Unless you sit in a darkened room, by yourself?

"When I saw this I just knew you were going to mention it :)"

I had to read it twice to make sure I wasn't dreaming it!

"...their lives are probably far more interesting than those of their HABs."

That may well be true. They might even be better footballers!

Ah, JuliaM, you've rumbled me! Not only am I female (despite the blogging persona)- I was once the outspoken radical, left-wing Women's Officer of my College. Ah, the follies of youth!

Does that make it better, or will Trevor Phillips hunt me down as a traitor to the cause?

I think the spokesperson/man/woman had their tongue planted firmly in their cheek when they made that comment.
Quite funny when compared to the tripe they usually come out with.
