Like the tales by the brothers Grimm .. I suspect that as many as 8 out of 10 who sit their kids down to watch these things don't even realise that an "original" story exists ..

I read the book long before I saw the Disney version. Oh, I liked it, but it wasn't the same, and even at that age, I knew why!
