Inspector Alyson Keenan said: "This was an appalling incident leaving a man injured and his dog sadly dead. I want to make it clear that we will not tolerate irresponsible dog ownership."
You're a police officer - aren't you supposed to never lie to the public? I've got a plethora of posts that prove you usually do the exact opposite every chance you get...
"It is a criminal offence to allow a dog to be dangerously out of control in a public place and dog owners have a responsibility to ensure their dog does is on a lead and under control."
Yes, it is, but when it's a dog on dog attack - even when the owner is injured - you claim it's not covered - incorrectly! - nine times out of ten.
You whined that the old DDA didn't cover dog on dog attacks so it was beefed up, and you lazy, incompetent bastards still can't be bothered to do your jobs properly...
"I would also ask anyone with information about this incident or dangerous dogs in their area to contact us so that we can take action."
Why don't you walk the streets and take a good long look at the animals parading around brazenly knowing none of your officers will left a finger? At both ends of the lead?

Oh please! Shirley there is someone with the balls to propose introducing Clarkson's Law?

Yes that's our beloved UK police service, long on rhetoric and short on any actual action at all.
"Shirley there is someone with the balls to propose introducing Clarkson's Law?"
I'd wholeheartedly support that!
"...long on rhetoric and short on any actual action at all."
Perhaps, as Jaded suggested in an earlier post comment, she didn't even say this at all? Some desk jockey did?
