A pet owner whose dog was alleged to have viciously attacked another dog near a Brighouse school on Sunday has spoken out.
Oh..? What sort of dog do you have, then?
David Lamb, 46, Brighouse, says a Dalmatian which suffered life threatening injuries as a result of a dog fight had bit his £5,000 pedigree American bully, Ghost, on the head while the pair were on a walk on Sunday night (March 6).
Aha. We can all see where this is going, can't we, Reader?
The 46-year-old dog owner claims the fight between the two breeds was 'bad timing' as they both got to the end of the alleyway at the same time and his dog didn't 'viciously attack' the other.
Really? How did it end up with life-threatening injuries, then?
"Yes the other dog has got a cut but my dog didn't come out unscathed, I had to pay £400 for vet bills too because of the scratches on his face."
I can only assume you're even dimmer than your ill-bred weapon dog if you think this is making you look better...
Kevin Leech, 66, from Brighouse was walking his dog, Bruce, close to a junior school when he claims they were attacked by another dog. The 'dangerous' dog had come out of nowhere leaving Bruce needing major surgery and Kevin injured in the middle of the road after defending his pet.
Kevin's daughter, Maddie, 28, said the incident had resulted in Bruce needing £2,000 worth of surgery so far. Maddie has claimed the vets said it could be up to £4,000 in vet bills before Bruce is on the mend.
QED.
