Just Make It Stop!

Ahh, we're back in the wacky world of science fiction and fantasy, as viewed through the warped lens of Reactormag's genital-obsessed columnists.
Growing up as a queer person in Indonesia meant continually starving for representation.

It’s a Muslim country, no one’s going to stick their heads over that parapet, not if they want to keep the on their shoulders!

However, when I turn to Western media, more often than not I’m met with disappointment—I find that I cannot relate to the queer characters at all.

Really? It’s just a Western conceit that thinks the only important thing is the sexuality then?

Recently, my friends shared a post about the Amsterdam Rainbow Dress. I get the intended sentiment. It’s a call for inclusivity and equal rights for everyone in every country in the world. Still, I can’t help but wonder, with a definite sense of bitterness: Is that all these countries are to the people behind this project? Why does it feel like the dress is saying “we are more civilized than you are”? The dress gestures at solidarity, but flattens out nuance and historical reality in a way that feels in keeping with a particularly Western, European brand of paternalism that conveniently turns very real people actively fighting for their own rights into caricatures and passive victims.

Welcome to enlightenment! That’s exactly how it works-you’re a tick in the box to the very people who commissioned this post.

Why do I, a queer person of color, have my existence reduced to the narrative that “your country is homophobic” and yet in the media, white characters get to be queer and live rich lives without being trapped and confined within the limits of an outsider’s view of their existence?

Because your country IS homophobic, of course. And that's hardly the worst thing about it, is it?

The graphic novel follows Indu, a trans boy from the moon who struggles with culture shock when he and his adoptive mother move to New Earth. The language barrier makes it difficult for him to connect with his stepfamily and make friends at school, but Indu discovers that New Earth’s queer community are happy to welcome him.
We aren’t just a “developing country.” We aren’t going to be reduced to the neo-colonized tourist traps that have taken over Bali. We are so much more; we are of a rich history and culture that’s under constant threat of being forgotten if we don’t preserve it through our own stories.

You haven’t been able to preserve anything else of your culture in the face of Muslim expansion and conquest, have you?

So, We Need To Make The British Countryside 'More Welcoming' For Minorities, Do We?

The group of five, who were all students at the University of Chester, split up for privacy and religious reasons as the sisters, who could not swim, headed for a pool upstream on the Afon Cwm Llan river.

Well, that will please DEFRA I'm sure.

Oh, wait...

The men later called out for the sisters, from Rotherham in South Yorkshire, but received no reply. When they reached the pools they noticed the women’s shoes and personal belongings by the water’s edge. They later discovered Hajra, a married mother of two, floating face down in her red dress. Caernarfon coroner’s court heard that they managed to pull an unconscious Hajra on to the riverbank but were unable to find Haleema.

Maybe not, I think the authorities were hoping the minorities would survive the experience ... and maybe the two would have, if not for their religion.

Hajra Zahid, 29, and her sibling Haleema, 25, were pulled from pools on the Watkin Path, which leads to the summit of Snowdon. They had visited the picturesque wild swimming site and its waterfall at Eryri (Snowdonia) national park, in the Nant Gwynant area of Gwynedd, on 11 June 2025 with three male friends.
Concluding the deaths were accidental, Riley said the sisters had drowned after they were unable to swim to safety. She said: “I extend my sincere condolences to their friends and family. This is an extremely tragic case and my thoughts remain with them.” Riley also “urged caution” to the public about the dangers of entering such pools.

I'm not sure it's a warning that needs to be given to most people...

Another Lie Brought To Our Attention By The Morons In The Met Police

I'ts a claim that's often used to silence those raising unwelcome attention on problem areas: 'There are no 'no go' areas in the UK'...

Even the cops weigh in from time to time, which is a little awkward for them now:

Scotland Yard has stopped a Ukip march from going ahead in east London over fears of provoking the local Muslim community.
The demonstration, titled "Walk With Jesus", was scheduled for January 31 in Whitechapel - long home to one of Britain's largest Islamic populations. Metropolitan Police officials said permitting the event in that location would be "reckless" given the potential for violence.

From the demonstrators? No, Reader, of course not!

Social media advertisements promoted the gathering as a "Christian march", inviting participants to worship Jesus Christ during January, which organisers described as "the month dedicated to the holy name of Jesus". Authorities confirmed the march could take place elsewhere - but not in Whitechapel.

But aren't we always being told by the progressives that Muslims have no issue with Jesus, considering him a prophet in their holy book? Surely they haven't been lying to us, have they?

After all, they can declare 'no go zones' when it suits them to do so and for the most spurious of reasons:

So I leave you with the words of someome far wiser than I, your humble landlady:
